You guys sure like your investigations.  Keep on investigating, it's working well for ya.

It was 20+ years ago, but got an A in Civics.  I know that a limp dicked House can impeach a President, but they're not getting him out of office without the Senate, so enjoy all that power to do nothing.

Bless your heart. Let me guess, aggy, right?

Release the full report.  A bipartisan House voted unanimously to have it released.

We can’t have a POTUS be investigated by a Special Counsel who declines to indict a sitting POTUS based on DOJ policy, then have the findings hidden from the  appropriate body for determining if conduct rises to sufficient levels of abuse and criminality to warrant removal.

Turn off fox. You do realize that the House has more power than just passing legislation right? Which the democrats have been doing. Never heard of oversight investigations? Again, should have paid attention in government class.

You're the one with grammatical errors and double posts, I would ask you the same question.  I'm not from Texas at all sadly, but maybe one day I can claim it as home.

For the record I get my news from Reuters because it reports the facts without biased political spin.

If it were bad, I think he'd be out there on twitter pushing the early good news to set the first impression.  My guess is that he's mostly in the clear and they've convinced him to hold back to draw the Dems offsides.

Occam’s Razor. The most likely reason he isn’t tweeting is because he doesn’t know anything, good or bad.

As stated above, this is a man with no impulse control. Odds that anybody could convince him not to do a touchdown dance if he is in the clear are slim to none, and slim just left town.

Most likely explanation is that Barr is still reviewing everything and hasn’t told Trump of his findings.  We will know when Barr tells Trump. Trump will let us all know.

Okay, so a sitting president can not be indicted, which means Trump can not be indicted.  It does not mean that Trump Jr., or Kushner can not be indicted and it would be next to impossible for Trump to have done something illegal without those two being in on it as well.  So if there are no indictments forthcoming for those two the likelihood of Trump having been found to have done something illegal is very remote.

This was discussed earlier today.  We have no idea if there are sealed indictments of any other principals in this mess, nor do we know if Mueller handed off any cases regarding those players to other jurisdictions.  Both are absolutely within the realm of possibility.  Should any of that come true, then there is a very good chance Trump was involved and simply not indicted because of DOJ policy.

These are not pipe dreams.  We simply don't know anything yet, because we don't know what's in the report.

Yeah but he knows the same thing we all do from what has been reported:  no more indictments from the special counsel.   Something is stopping him from crowing about that so far.   And I'd be shocked if he hasn't gotten some intel on what it says.   He's the fucking president, and multiple political appointees at Justice know what it says. He's gotta know something by now.

The answer to the bolded with respect to trump is always no.  He doesn't know.  Especially if Fox and Friends hasn't told him.

Just to be clear, you’re of the opinion that if he knew it exonerated him that he would be able to bite his tongue and not tweet I told you so’s all day long?

Here's my prediction. Said it before after the election. The Mueller report and its subsequent fallout will be damning and indefensible. Trump will be forced to resign within a month. I said he'd be out in six months back in November, so we're right on schedule. There's just too much evidence out there for there to be an innocent explanation. So many leads that an investigator would pull at, and I know Mueller has.

Just consider this:

(1) Rob Goldstone email proposing the Trump Tower meeting suggesting the offer of dirt is "part of Russia and its government's support for Mr. Trump," assuming prior knowledge by the recipient Junior (and the campaign) of such efforts;

(2) Broad consensus by intelligence community and Mueller that Russia did in fact interfere in the election to help Trump;

(3) Manafort and everything we know about his contacts, including the polling data transfer;

(4) Trump Tower Russia;  and

(5) Trump's inexplicable behavior towards Putin and Russia, especially Helsinki.

It's all there for anyone to see. Mueller, and the investigators before him spent about 3 years looking into this and connecting the dots. Trump is done. We're in for a wild ride over the next couple years.

I wouldn't go that far.  I think the best explanation is that he's been told something vague about how it's looking good, just give us a day to make sure of everything before commenting publicly.   I think if he were told there were some problems in it, he'd be out selling the no more indictments news.  And I think there's no chance he hasn't gotten some intel on it.

These are not pipe dreams.  We simply don't know anything yet, because we don't know what's in the report.

We do know Mueller is handing off cases to other prosecutorial bodies.

An example was announced TODAY:

Also this:

^^^ From Roger Stone's indictment recall this bit:

"Stone “was contacted by senior Trump campaign officials to inquire about future releases” of stolen information by Wikileaks.

After one WikiLeaks release, the indictment says an associate of a high-ranking Trump campaign official texted Stone “well done.”

CNN: “The indictment’s wording does not say who on the campaign knew about Stone’s quest, but makes clear it was multiple people.”

Two points here:  First, Mueller has been actively working jointly with other areas of DOJ jurisdiction in his probe and even today is further delegating his work to progress.  Second, any number of these (greater than a dozen Mueller related investigations) stand to implicate Trump again like "Individual 1" in Cohen's indictment.  Cohen is going to prison for carrying out the felony orders of "Individual 1."  Now multiply those references as the branch investigations, especially the ones based in NY, start to drop on additional Trump inner circle/family members.

How quickly can you get money in an account there? I absolutely believe it. Timing on the resignation is a little tricky, but democrats will move for impeachment quickly and the pressure will mount. Trump will not have a choice.

I guarantee that one of the first things Trump sought to find out is if Mueller relaying "no further indictments" (from the SCO proper) meant that his kids, Jerome Corsi types, and everyone else was in the clear.

Trump getting the news that, instead of one prosecutor, there are now at least 5 different prosecutorial entities bearing down on everyone in his orbit would be enough to rain on his twitter parade the last 24 hours.

He thought a great burden was being lifted by firing Comey.  No doubt he imagined that Mueller filing his report "with no further indictments" was similarly promising.

It's not.  It's worse.

Trump isn't the type to resign for any reason.

Especially if it opens him up to more prosecution.

Before everything came out about the states/etc. going after Trump Org, I used to think he might resign, rather than risk being impeached - basically throw up his hands, say "I accomplished a great deal, but it's time to go" and he could kick back at Mar-a-Lago.

But he's fighting for the survival of everything he thinks he created, and it's a lot easier when he can fuck around with executive orders and the like.

2. Ask what the scope of the Report is. Is it just conspiracy with Russia? Does it include, for example, the campaign finance allegations, where federal SDNY prosecutors have said the President ordered the commission of felonies?

It’s almost never happened in American history that federal Prosecutors have said  a sitting President orchestrated the commission of felonies.

3. Examine whether the Report is limited to criminal acts. Some of the most egregious allegations against Trump, like lying to the American people about his business dealings with Russia before the 2016 election and saying he had no biz in Russia, are not necessarily criminal.

Others, like being beholden to the Kremlin out of self interest, may be. Has Mueller only resolved the latter? If not, expect Congress to be taking all of that up.

4.  Ask whether Mueller has actually resolved anything. Has he said there are other avenues to investigate for matters within the scope of his Report, such as a sit-down interview with Trump? Again, Congress may investigate further — but also don’t forget about state prosecutors.

5. Ask yourself, if the American people knew in 2016 what Mueller’s Report says, even if the Report says Mueller won’t indict the President, Trump would have won the election. Does this President have the judgment&transparency appropriate to serve as the nation’s highest official?

Don’t focus on the one-line spin. Focus on the facts, judgments, and limitations in the Mueller Report.

And ask yourself, if Trump had just been honest and forthcoming about all of this, we could have spared this long ordeal. END

Thing is, there were a few times, early in his term, where he and his people would float out that he might leave early cause he could accomplish so much, so fast, that he wouldn't need a full term.

He said early on that the WH is a dump and that he feels like a caged animal there.

Good. He can spend the last years of his traitorous life being miserable in a job that he never wanted. And he can run for re-election for that same job to avoid state prosecution.

Been thinking about the indictments some more. It occurred to me that-- setting aside the indictments of the russians-- his indictments have either been (1) obstruction type charges or (2) more serious charges for conduct unrelated to the core investigation with the apparent goal of forcing witnesses to flip. We also know he viewed his role as an investigatorial one and not a prosecutorial one. It's possible Mueller had no intention of ever charging Americans for crimes related to Russian interference, collusion or conspiracy. He always intended to hand it off to Congress, the American people, and US Attorneys.

Talk about heads exploding, how about some Louise Mensch ftw

If Trump had fired Mueller back in the summer of 2017, maybe the engine never really gets built.  Instead, Mueller had the time to fully construct a hot rod with a souped-up engine and walk away leaving it with a deep bench of drivers with expert ability on multiple tracks.

I think this is right. Again, I just cannot fathom an innocent explanation for all of this. Rick Gates and "ongoing investigations" is another reason. What about the redacted descriptions of investigations in the Flynn's sentencing memo? The idea that the Mueller investigation and all the criminality it uncovered ended on Friday is preposterous.

I dont know about innocent, but a Trump did not willingly collude with the Russians and the president has the right to fire an FBI director regardless of obstruction would feel pretty innocent to those in his camp.
