A two year investigation that compiled over 300 pages in a final report is reduced to a four-sentence summary by a guy who was appointed within the last couple of months by the people being investigated naturally compels one to look further into Clinton real estate deals 30 years ago and Benghazi and Chinese donors.  Dumb is the new smart and orange is the new Caucasian.  I have to get creative in finding new ways to keep laughing at watching the world's greatest democracy finger itself in the ass.  But witnessing people like Onboard justify everything by comparing two unscrupulous hordes like the Clintons and the Trumps into a compatible, net positive helps with the laughing part.

Four page, but yes, the point is made.

If you’re so smart, then why can’t you tell us where Hillary’s emails are?

I know where they are and I can show you but you have to see Anthony Weiner's dick first.  Sounds weird, I know, but it's a process.

Turtle doing his thing to keep the report under wraps tells you everything you need to know.

What's the end game here? Barr/Trump tell Nadler to pound sand. Nadler sends a subpoena. They tell him to pound sand again. It goes to the courts.

Is that how this is going to play out?

Probably, although mueller will be subpoenaed to testify before that scenario unfolds, it in fact that’s how it’s played out.

The turtle, senator poodle, and queen Lindsay’s recent antics are the biggest tell that the report is damning and so they are at least gonna try to hide it from the public. In this day and age I have no idea how that is gonna work since the dems control the house but that’s apparently the plan and they’re sticking to it.

I get that some components of the report need to be refined or redacted for public consumption as they may give away intelligence related issues.

I just don't understand how after so many Rs spoke out about wanting it to be made public now Turtle and Rs don't want the actual report out there.

Agree. If the report just reiterated the Russian contacts/involvement that are publicly available, then who cares. Release the report. All of those things have already been normalized. Must be some juicy details in there.

I've always kinda liked Mike Conoway.  It's sad to watch him submit and hand his party over to the lunacy of Trumpublicanism.  The Bush family propelled him into the political realm.  He's not a moron, so it makes me wonder how he justifies this bullshit to himself and if it even stings anymore.

Barr used four ‘partial’ sentences from Mueller report in his memo.  84 works, no complete sentences.

When you consider what’s already in tbe public domain, what Barr is trying to hide has to tip some scales.

Can't really think of any Rs that have voiced opposition to Cheeto. Flake and Corker made some flowery speeches before running out the back door. That's about it.

Barr was told to write a cover letter for the report, but he heard cover-up letter.

Again, the longer this drags on the more curious people will become to see what is actually in it. The republicans are gonna make the release of the mueller report one of the most anticipated event in history. It’s a dumb losing strategy but team trumpkin and the R sycophants aren’t known for their long term strategic thinking.

Their only play is to run the clock out to 2020. Shifting demographics are against them. GOP policy is waning in popularity - what little policy they have.

Given their hand, it’s a smart play. Who knows what kind of crisis will develop down the road. Wouldn’t take much to eclipse Americans concern about very complex investigation.

No one is turning on Trump until it’s absolutely prudent.

Trump is trying to distract with Obamacare and closing the border.  He’s going to do more crazy shit.  He thinks he can make the public interest go away if he can get the media to focus on something else.  He will also keep attacking the media until they bend to his will.

This is another test of journalists/media to keep the American people focused on what is important.  It already doesn’t feel like a report on the biggest and most consequential scandal in American history, but it is and Trump knows it.

He is losing control of public perception and the Mueller report could be a metaphorical stab in the heart of Trump.

And why were the Republicans inept at pinning them down on anything during the years of investigations if they were so corrupt?

Because Republicans are pretty much inept at accomplishing anything that works in their favor politically.

Democrats please step up for the love of fucking god.  I’d start impeachment proceedings if Barr doesn’t hand this report over to congress by 5PM.  This is fucking bullshit.

Oh please do this.  I'm starting to understand why Democrats favor gun control so much.  They think it will help them keep from shooting their toes off of their feet.  Go ahead and start impeachment proceedings.  It will give me time to buy stock in suicide prevention hot lines before Election Day next year.

Its gonna be so redacted that it looks like a ream of brand new paper they just bought from Staples.

I believe Trump has said something to the effect that he's going to let Barr address exec privilege issues. More good cop, bad cop.

Will Coverup-General strike again?

You don’t understand how that would play out.  First, the democrats don’t want to impeach Trump.  The democrats can say “we are going hold off impeachment as long as you make the report public now.”

The polls show overwhelming support the American people want to see the report, they would likely go along with democrats playing hard ball with the impeachment process to get the Mueller report out.

Democrats can start and stop the impeachment process anytime they want and they lose nothing for 2020 as long as a vote for impeachment never takes place.  Time to put the figurative gun to this administration’s head.

They said “we have to wait for Mueller” well the wait for Mueller is over.  They don’t need to wait for Barr.

Oof.  If you're gonna put up a cover, at least give us Joe Ely's version.  (This makes me wonder -- why wasn't Joe one of the Highwaymen?)

Youtube lacks high quality videos on the subject.

The media keeps fucking this up. So many over reactive articles and headlines this week all based on Barr’s 4 page fuckery. Headlines should be “Waiting on Mueller Report” not “Now That Mueller is done” or “Gulliani May have saved Trump”.
Report the damn facts

Most people don’t dig deep into the issues.

Imagine if there was a cable news network, a series of talk radio hosts, and elected representatives from a particular party that all parroted for a decade the same talking point that Hillary was corrupt. Then, imagine that the closest they ever got to proving any actual corruption was an email server. At some point, folks should hope that some degree of self-awareness would take hold or they would move on, and then they would be able to see what their party is doing today, right now.

Imagine if there was every other network, a series of effeminate TV anchors/hosts, and elected representatives from a particular party that all parroted for 2 years the same talking points that our commander-in-chief was a Russian double agent.  Then, imagine that the closest they ever got to proving any actual collusion was a Rachel Maddow dream.  At some point, folks should hope that some degree of self-awareness would take hold or they would move on.  Then, they would be able to see what their party is doing (guaranteed loser socialism) today, right now.

Barr's letter indicated redaction of the following elements is underway, with the assistance of the special counsel:

1) Material subject to Federal Rule on Criminal Procedure 6c

2) IC identified sensitive information

3) Material related to ongoing investigations in other jurisdictions

4) Potential damaging information related to peripheral third parties

What does 6C cover?

https://www.law.cornell.edu/rules/frcrmp/rule_6 (6E)

"But in making his decision, Barr is bound by federal laws that limit how certain material from federal investigations can be shared. In particular, one section of the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure — known in legal circles by its number, 6e — prohibits, with few exceptions, the public release of information obtained through grand jury testimony. The rule is intended to keep information classified in federal criminal investigations, and protect the privacy of an individual or entity that has not been charged with a crime."
