Obviously I have my own bias, but not following up on the Russian connections that fold into the DNC in an investigation of Russian interference seems like quite the blind spot.  Not in my purview.

Just for the record, asking a questioner to repeat the question is a legit tactic.  It makes sure you understand the question, gives you time to formulate your answer, and slows things down.  It can have a cost in credibility, depending on how sloppy the questions are.

It’s really embarrassing that we as a country send such low iq, useless, feckless, posturing shit bags to write our laws and represent us in Congress.  That is a comment on Congress as a whole.  I wouldn’t hire these pathetic losers to pick up dog shit in my back yard.

We're an hour in. Can we get a pulse reading from the board on whether this testimony is going to move the needle on impeachment?
I don't see it.

Lord no.

Nope.

Pay no attention to GOP obfuscation. It doesn't matter that Hillary hired Fusion GPS. It doesn't matter that Strzok and Page didn't like Trump. All the people in Trump's campaign still did all the dirty shit that they did. On their own. And lied about it. Hillary, Steele, Strzok. and Page didn't make them do any of it.

Also, fuck Louie Gohmert.

Rapid fire questioning is annoying. Most Americans won't watch 10 minutes of this. It deserves more than one five-hour hearing.

Everybody wants to see their grandpa get beat up and confused by a bunch of other geritol consuming knuckledraggers.

This is why I was skeptical when Hugo kept insisting that Mueller must testify and that "all would be revealed."  Also why I maintain that most public congressional hearings are a complete shitshow and serve no real purpose.

Nadler started strong, but the Dems are making a mistake by trying to get him to just restate facts from the report.   They need to lay out the context, then get Mueller to confirm his conclusions in that context, and then they need to give shape to what his answer means.

Republican from Alabama actually sounds sane, that pays off 1500 on a 100 bet.  Of course she isn’t a 80 year old white dude, so that does make some sense.

Yeah. They're fucking it up. Democrats are incompetent. Republicans are mostly part over country traitors. This is our government.

Democrats going to fuck this up

We are way beyond the democrats fucking this up.

The "We need to wait for Mueller" bit during the first three months of the year was one of the worst strategies and basically begged Bill Barr to do what he did.  I don't think the democrats knew how incriminating the Mueller Report was going to be and they ended up caught off guard.  The Dems were the dog that finally caught the car and they didn't know what to do.  Imagine if they started the impeachment process before Mueller and the Report landed in the middle of an impeachment process.  It may have compelled public opinion to really shift but nah...

It's clear the democrats never had any intention of impeaching Trump.  They have been running away from the facts and evidence nearly the whole time.  They will slow roll everything from the tax returns to this hearing but it's only to create the appearance of them doing their jobs.

AL's questions regarding the process behind the report and related events were appropriate and fair imo, and directly address much of the narrative that has been pushed regarding Barr/Mueller interactions. He punted on all of them.

Have they got him yet?

I know you’re trolling and doing a bit, but the fact that the sitting President could be indicted the minute he leaves office for acts completed *while President* is a big fucking deal.
