A Texas woman told police in 2002 that Georgia US Senate candidate Herschel Walker had threatened and stalked her, according to a police report obtained by CNN.

The woman, a friend of Walker's ex-wife, told police that the football star had been following her, and had previously made "threats to her" and had "her house watched." The report did not specify the nature of the threats by Walker, who is now one of the highest-profile Senate candidates in the country and a close ally of former president Donald Trump, who endorsed him on Thursday.

Quote

Over the years, two other women -- Walker's ex-wife and an ex-girlfriend -- have also accused him of making threats, telling authorities Walker claimed he would shoot them in the head. Their years-old accounts have resurfaced in recent weeks as Walker, who won national fame as a college football player at the University of Georgia, launched a campaign for the Peach State's battleground Senate seat. The third woman's account has not been previously reporte

The woman, who was in her late 20s at the time she contacted police, confirmed to CNN this week that Walker had threatened her, but asked not to be identified and declined to discuss the specifics of his threats. She stressed that she never dated or had a relationship with Walker.

The best people.

Walker's campaign declined to respond to the woman's allegations or discuss the 2002 police report. In response to questions about the incident, Mallory Blount, a campaign spokesperson, cited Walker's past struggles with mental health issues, which he's spoken about publicly.

"It is sad that many in politics and the media who praised Herschel for his transparency over a decade ago are now making false statements, stereotyping, attacking, and attempting to sensationalize his past just because he is a Republican Senate candidate," she said in a statemen

GOP Senate Candidate in Pennysylvania, endorsed by Trump, had protective-from-abuse orders issued on behalf of his wife 2-3 years ago.  Because of course he did.

"The idea that a woman doesn't need a man to be successful, the idea that a woman doesn't need a man to have a baby, the idea that a woman can live a happy and fulfilling life without a man, I think it's all nonsense,"  Senate candidate Parnell said.

I have to think the IA GOP is worried about an open seat if Grassley declines to run again and/or if Dems take back the Gov's mansion anytime during his 6 year term if he dies.

SD is safe R regardless and VT is safe D regardless.

Wisconsin Dems have to be THRILLED that Johnson can't make up his mind.  The longer he doesn't decide, the harder it will be for someone to jump in late if he decides to retire.  Meanwhile, Mandela Barnes seems to be consolidating support and looks like a strong AF candidate, paired with Evers, for 2022.

Alaska is a wildcard.  Murkowski is the best R we could get, but if she declines, it really will be a messy messy race.

You’d think McConnell s eventually going to step in right?  Arizona and Georgia are the GOPs best pickup opportunities and both of them have terrible candidates right now. If left up to McConnell, we would’ve seen Doug douchey in Arizona, David Perdue in Georgia, and Sunni in New Hampshire.

Trump doesn't give one flying fuck about Mitch - as evident by the recent report he wants McConnell out of Senate leadership.

Mitch thinks about Mitch and the GOP and is playing a long game.  Trump thinks about Trump benefitting in the here and now. Not hard to see why he wanted Mitch out of the way.

if Mitch wants one candidate, and Trump hates Mitch, I could 100% see Trump going against Mitch.

Republican infighting is awesome.  MAGA will defeat themselves and then whine that the election was stolen.

I know we laugh, but I promise there is a grift to be made on far-MAGA primary opponents running to usurp established Republican candidates in House and Senate in 2022.  Most of those fringe lunatics are gonna lose in swing states to establishment GOP/RINO/moderate types, right?  I think even most Trumpers can acknowledge that...particularly in swing states.  So what's gonna happen?  Those MAGA primary opponents are gonna declare rigged elections.  They have to because losing on their own disgusting merit cannot be possible.  Plus, the eventual cries of stolen election in the general elections when D's beat R's needs validity.  If you can point to primary elections being rigged in PA, AZ, FL, et. al. before the general...it can only enhance your argument, right?

So we need to plan some sort of fund that will raise dollars for the inevitable primary election challenges to be filed on behalf of extreme MAGA candidates in contested GOP primaries in certain districts/Senate races.  The seeds of doubt are already sown in places like those swing states I mentioned...we just need to stoke the flame earlier in the calendar, around primary and runoff season.  If they can raise tens of millions around a general, surely we can raise several hundred thousand around a primary or runoff.  And that's just for one race.  There's gotta be dozens of these happening nationwide.

Bullshit aside.  Think about how easily it would be to make money off this sick idea.

First candidate, albeit a state office and not a House/Senate seat.

Scratch one pickup opportunity from the board.

It wasn't that realistic anyhow.

The plan is still the same:  defend NV, AZ, GA, NH.  Pickup NC, WI, PA.  Make plays in OH and FL.

He's probably scared he'll die without something to do.

This is basically why DiFi hasn't retired early.  Will she even make it to 2024?

Grassley ain't going to finish another 6 year term.

Senator Grassley, what you just typed is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever read.  At no point in your rambling, incoherent tweet...were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought.  Everyone in this Senate Chamber is now dumber for having read it.  I award you no votes and may God have mercy on your soul (you'll be meeting quite soon).

I hope the MAGA crowd gets fired up at today's news!  The RINO's and Democrats in the Texas Legislature have conspired against true conservatives like Ted Cruz and redrawn his Senate district in Texas to make him more vulnerable to a fake Republican RINO or Socialist Democrat candidate defeating him in November!  AHHH!  Outrage!  This injustice must be battled in the courts and at the ballot box.

So what's Grassley's plan here? Win then retire so the governor can appoint one of his 5 kids to fill the seat? Because the party of freedom loving patriots loves them some hereditary rule.

He's got an opponent who is a 'Stop the Steal' guy, and a potential other opponent, Whitaker, who hasn't declared but is considering. Whitaker was Trump's acting AG when Sessions stepped down.

So Grassley may be attempting to keep the crazy from getting crazier, but that's not likely to happen. I can't recall if Reynolds' term is up in 2022?

Astonishing that the political career of Mr. "Big Dick Toilet Guy" is not yet dead, but it is 2021 ...

To make this related to this thread: Boo Tillis and Leahy.  Don't be out here trying to waste our flava.

https://www.techdirt.com/articles/20211104/15554147878/senators-tillis-leahy-raise-alarm-about-judge-albrights-patent-forum-selling-waco.shtml

Coming after Albright saying he's illegally hogging all the cases based on that most important of all rights: venue.  Multi billion dollar companies shouldn't have to try cases in Waco Texas. How can they be expected to travel there twice for hearings in the 2 year life of a patent suit on a tight $6MM/case budget?
