Unless RowtheBoat is missing players tonight, that Michigan victory doesn't look quite as impressive.  Crabcakes defense has been horrible so far...

Halftime

Crabcakes      21

RowtheBoat    28

So Michigan win vs RowtheBoat not that impressive then??

These were the Gopher players missing from the Michigan game. I will let you decide if the Michigan win was less impressive knowing the following:

Minnesota starting kicker Michael Lantz, punter Mark Crawford and kickoff specialist Dragan Kesich will be unavailable for the game against Michigan, sources told Yahoo Sports, putting the unit’s special teams at a significant disadvantage.

No. 21 Minnesota will also be missing multiple key position players. The starting right side of Minnesota’s offensive line — tackle Daniel Faalele and guard Curtis Dunlap. Jr. — will not be available. Starting linebacker Braelen Oliver and reserve defensive back Phillip Howard will also be unavailable.

They doubled them up on the road, so yes... It was impressive.  The fact is though that the Gophers had (and still have) a completely pieced together O-Line and a decimated special teams (especially at the skill positions).

It's only the Gophers, so it's hasn't been made a big deal yet, but the Big Ten's Covid Policy is going to be a thing.  Current protocol on a positive test is 21 days! Trevor Lawrence will be back next week, in contrast.

Ya. You’re right about that.

Gophers gonna run out of personnel. Geez. Would have liked to have seen what a full team could have done against Michigan. Not saying they win but score would definitely have been closer imo.

So it’s possible to beat Maryland early in the season even down multiple starters? That’s horseshit! Clearly, Fleck is a fucking wizard or warlock or something. He must run a dirty program. I think knowing you have to go for it on 4th (bc no kicker) is actually not a horrible development. Jmo.

Just points out how well Fleck handles adversity, and how awful Maryland's defense is...

He’s a great coach. Minny has a good one. The recruiting will get better. Fleck does handle the adversity well. That kicker looks really tripped out. Yay! He made a 25 yarder!

Michigan was starting 4 new offensive lineman a new qb freshman in our secondary. Not saying it was as impressive as some are making it out to be but it was a good win.
