the trump election lawsuit thread of dominance

Just out of curiosity, the Texas Secretary of State rejected Dominion Voting Systems machines for general use here, citing security concerns.  I think a couple of counties have used them anyway or maybe it's machines made by a company acquired by DVS.

Anyone familiar with that approval process and whether it was political or legit or some combo?

Just read that.  Might be considered a "typical" Republican judge dodge of an unpleasant (for Republicans) issue on procedural or prudential grounds, but for the express part that says not only is it probably moot, but the remedy sought is wrong.

Trumpco cannot even take solace in the dissent.  Or claim that the D judges are in the bag.

Harris appeared in the Senate today, to many congratulations from her Senate colleagues, including: Tim Scott, Mike Rounds, James Lankford, and Lindsey Graham (fist bumped her).

They can't even remember which side they're supposed to be on. Lord Donald is going to have a fit when he finds out.

Was it a terrorist first bump?

I keep seeing 1-X, with X gradually increasing.  What is the 1?  Is it the thing about the PA supreme court extending the deadline to receive mail in ballots?  I'd call that more of a draw due to irrelevance than a win.

The word "lickspittle" was created so we would have a word that could accurately describe Lindsey Graham.

A $20,000 IOU well earned by Rudy today. The question is which suit gets filed first, Rudy’s suit for non-payment or Trump’s for substandard representation?

He's not there to win the case IMHO. He's there to hold the press conference on the courthouse steps afterwards and to fan the flames of outrage after they lose.

This. It's about channeling the grievance of a loser: victimhood.

I thought “activist judges” were frowned upon by “conservatives?”

They always have been....But you probably mean something different than they do.  When you say activist judge, you are talking about having a desired outcome and twisting the law to fit their desired outcome.  What they mean is a judge decided something in a way they disagree with.

So now we can't believe the courts, correct? We'll add them to the list of other American pillars of society that Trumpers claim we can no longer trust:

Elections

Politicians

Journalism

Media

Postal Service

Scientists

Academics

Foreign countries

Foreigners

Non-Christians

Non-white US citizens

Medicine

Maps

That pretty much leaves Ted Cruz, Goya beans, looking directly at solar eclipses, bleach, and non-Venezuelan voting machines as things we can trust. Got it.

It's certainly an odd form of nationalism, I'll give you that.

“Trumpism told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.”

Seriously.  We don't have to change a single word but the name of the party, and Orwell is spot-on.

And Mitch said they can't go by what Trump said, and that there will be an orderly transition.
