Ossoff down by 3K after the latest drop.

ATL and Savannah should wipe that out. The latter won’t finish until tomorrow

Like many here, I just didn't see this happening earlier in the day.  I figured it would be a GOP sweep, even with Trump's antics on calling it rigged and whatnot, simply because Democrats traditionally don't show up.

Boy, did they.

Can Ossof make up 19000 votes?

easily. DeKalb, Fulton and Savannah

Ossof is going to blow past that.

It's clear a lot of people split their votes Warnock/Perdue. Doesn't appear to have been enough though.

Perdue is a big name in GA politics so this is a stinging loss for the GOP if projections are correct.

MSNBC adjusted the numbers. Said it was a mistake in reporting. They have Ossof down almost 20,000

Bartow came in simultaneously. I missed that

Fuck I wasn't gonna stay up and sweat this, but I'm glad I happened to make it to the DeKalb drop. This is amazing.

Go to bed. It’s gonna be like Wed/Thurs/Fri of election night - the math is there, just gotta wait for the counting to catch up.

Stacey Abrams has done an amazing job in Georgia. The State was just an accepted Republican win for so long, and after she lost that BS election she could have just said fuck it. But instead she turned Georgia into a Democratic State. The most important thing is that she got the Democratic voters in Georgia to believe they could win and because she did that now they know they can win.

Just incredible work.

As time goes on and more blue state voters move in Georgia will hopefully be solidly blue from here on out.  Texas is next.

Perhaps we can get Abrams to move to Austin and turn Texas blue....and replace Abutt!

Georgia has always been a very Black state, but there's been so much history of suppression through tickey-tack means in the past 20 years and then especially after Shelby County v. Holder. The suburbs here getting insanely diverse and flipping has helped activate a ton of the Black vote you see in the more rural counties. It also helps, unlike Florida, that a bunch of old conservative white retirees aren't coming here.

The Southern states are voter suppression states.

Going back to nov 2nd when there was hope that the Dems could take the senate, who would have guessed that Collins would win but perdue and loeffler wouldn’t.

No one. We were counting on Gideon, Cunningham and Greenfield. We got Ossoff and Warnock instead.

Seriously, the shit in DC tomorrow is going to be completely bonkers. Their last bastion has fallen, no more obstruction. The Rs are going to be complete unhinged, and the proud boys and MAGA tards are definitely going to nuts in the heart of the capitol, and Trump and company incited every bit of it.
