Are we shrugging this off? I know there’s little to no information outside of the headline. Just checking.

Not shrugging it off, but we probably won't get reliable info until tomorrow's presser.

Sucks we won't have him next year with a more experienced OL and healthy QB. He would be easily win the Heisman.

Hope he gets drafted to a good team.

Year just started. We have so many shitty Big 12 defenses for him to run against.

I believe

Need to get a passing threat to balance the O out.. but if we got that full offense going.. 150+ yds and 3 TDs a game should get him to New York

Justin Wells: Bijan Robinson eclipses 2,000-yard mark at Texas

Quote

Texas running back Bijan Robinson passed the 2,000-yard rushing mark in the second quarter of tonight’s game versus UTSA on Saturday from Texas-DKR Memorial Stadium. Robinson eclipsed the mark in only 15 games in a Texas uniform.

Robinson moved to 19th all-time in rushing yards in Austin, passing Marty Akins (1973-75), and is only 44 yards behind Darren Norris (1985-88), 18th all-time. Robinson is the 20th Longhorn to surpass 2,000 yards rushing. Robinson has a touchdown in 14 of his last 15 games at Texas. He’s scored a rushing touchdown in all three games in 2022 and now has 25 career scores – 18 rushing, 7 receiving. Robinson has 181 yards rushing in two and half games for the Longhorns in 2022.

Robinson is a 6-foot, 220-pounder from Salpointe Catholic in Tucson, AZ. He was a part of UT’s Class of 2020. Robinson was a legend on high school football fields across the state of Arizona.

He finished his career as the state’s all-time leader in touchdowns with 114 and rushing yards with 7,036. He rushed for over 2,000 yards in his sophomore, junior and senior season. Robinson is the first player to win the Ed Doherty Award — given to Arizona’s best high school football player — twice. His grandfather, Cleo Robinson, was an all-state linebacker in high school and was a track and field athlete at Northern Arizona. He later became a official and worked in the Pac-12. His great uncle, Paul Robinson, played six NFL seasons as a running back and was a consensus first team All-Pro as a rookie.

He's kinda good. Definitely gets the JW seal of approval.

I’m thinking of a thread title change…

When we get Ewers back, a lot is going to open up for him in the run game.

Mix of saquon and Reggie bush

1st or 2nd round draft pick?

As far as backs go.    He and the back from tOSU are the two top picks.

Just watched the highlights of the UTSA game. Wow. I don't know if I've ever seen someone with that sort of balance? Just flat out amazing.

and he is clearly nursing an injury too. shoulder/ribs. you can see it when he is in the open running a bit stiff.

Completely.

Like he’s protecting one side of his body.

Bijan with the excellent run after no blocking

Then after a shitty pass is intercepted comes up and makes the tackle

Sucks we haven't surrounded him with a competent OL or QB play yet.

Maybe by the time Ewers comes back and there's more of a pass threat the run blocking will be there..

dudes vision + ability to make the moves needed to take advantage of what he sees + the balance to shrug off contact like it isn't there and stay up...

it's just nutty

Yes he’s probably the best back in the country but damn. That was pretty unclutch. Flip side of that is he’s also the only reason basically we were still in the game at all. Shit happens, could’ve happened to anyone.

D'Onta Foreman >>>> B Robinson.  He is an embarrassment.

Foreman’s line had actual bodies at rg and rt instead of turnstiles. They didn’t do much, but he wasn’t hit in the backfield most plays

Our RBs, led by Bijan, are going to run wild over Tech during the second half.

I love Bijan and perhaps our Oline's run blocking struggles has him anticipating someone breaking through, but he does this frequently.

yes he does, he doesn't have to be Barry Sanders every play.
