Good old freedom-loving Republicans.  And yes, the wording was vague for a reason.  Can’t wait for the Texas legislature to make a run at contraception next year.

They will. 100%. Several GQP types have already told you they will.
When someone tells you what they are, you should believe them.

It's really astounding.  Cletus may be a dim-witted Trump supporter getting a little strange from his fat little girlfriend the next town over, but he's still fucking someone he should be highly disinclined to get pregnant . . . and yet he can't connect the dots.

I mean, as creepy as it sounds, sex ain't partisan.  If there were ONE issue . . .

It's fucking barbaric, and born (ahem) of ignorance.

I think the medical community needs to start pushing back.  I'm not sure how.  A strike would be catastrophic, but right now providers are being required to ignore their oath because of bad law.  What's the difference, ignoring their oath by choice or law?

This is fucking infuriating, even though I know their hands are tied.

"We cannot go into specifics about any patient's care, but can confirm that Houston Methodist follows all state laws, including the standards for abortions as required bY SB 8. We also provide a multidisciplinary medical ethics committee that reviews these cases to help our physicians and patients make these complex decisions," Houston Methodist responded in a statement.

The overturning of Roe and its consequences, both abortion related and otherwise, needs to be the number one issue blasted EVERYWHERE for the foreseeable future.  Even if it gets codified into law, remind people that Rs will overturn that law the second they get the chance.  These people are monsters.

Not only that, but they can’t stop doubling down on it, and they are making noise about going after contraception.

if women just stayed home, cooked, cleaned, sex with only their husband, raise / homeschool the kids, then they wouldn't be all fired up about abortion rights
