Nancy’s not going to make it...

it's going to be hilarious when all Democratic leadership is dead by 2025 and don't get to see the inauguration of Donald Jr

Well I’m saying she looks like she’s struggling up there...

mitt romney was resting his eyes earlier.

these folks must start with lunch martinis and hit up a nice bottle of wine at dinner before these things.

but yeah, nancy is going through that fucking thing i sometimes get on long drives where you aren't tired, but damn you want to have a bit of a doze and your eyes won't take no for an answer.

also, kamala has figured out how to use a mask and smile through her eyes. it's the only thing we see, but she's very expressive, whereas nancy is trying to stay awake.

He is talking about raising taxes. Why are people that make $400K a year mixed in with the Billionaires?  It seems to me that there is a big difference between someone making $400K a year and someone making a million a year.  Not saying $400K isn’t a lot but it seems like taxing someone that makes $400K at a 39% rate is much harsher than someone making a million.  Now all you socialists can neg me for asking this question.

yeah, of course, because a bag of rice costs the same to a billionaire as it does to a $400k household as it does to a $25k household.

but, there is some nuance in that tax code, if i recall correctly. they only tax the dollars above the $400k at 39.6% not the full amount.

i could totally be wrong, so i'm open to correction. but that's how progressive tax rates work, right?

Fucking finally a president said it: trickle down has never worked. If Biden doesn't do or say anything else this term, that right there was worth my vote

I don't think you'd get much pushback if you moved it from $400K to $1mil. But I think stats show that $400K is a big dividing line which is why it was chosen.

i'm weirdly enjoying this, even though i'm traditionally fiscally conservative.

but he's being honest, he's being daring, and he's outlining pretty good reasons WHY he thinks these things will succeed.

i think yall won me over, liberals. i can't place exactly when it happened, because it started some time back, but it's definitely happened.

Remember when Republicans said sleepy Joe was going to be a figurehead with Kamala having all the real power? Seems like Joe is doing pretty damn good.

Yup. I liked Obama, but his presidency will ultimately be pretty forgettable outside of the race barrier he broke. If Biden can get this shit done, he will be one of the most transformative presidencies in American history. We need to gain in the Senate in 2022 and that is what I worry about, because, again, people in this country and particularly the south are Stupid. As. Fuck.

if he can. that's a big if. but as @Bozo_Casanova stated, this is the most honestly liberal president since lbj. it's kind of amazing to see a guy stand up and say, this is what i want to do.

He's definitely making the right arguments which has driven me crazy for years from democrats. I hope others are seeing this truth and we don't have to wait for more olds to die to finally get rational about taxes and the role government should play. I assure you though that the "republican response" will talk about "big government" and abortion, because their base doesn't understand good arguments, they only care that fuck libruls and librul tears.

With all the botox, she can't.  Pelosi is old enough to be Harris' mother.

He’ll be successful Bc he embraces popular policies. He doesn’t shy away from it Bc he might get hit by the twitterati or the Facebook crowd. The “do popular stuff” president

I like how his stutter comes up when he's truly pissed. It shows how genuine he is in his words. He big mad right now at russia and tripped over himself expressing and holding back rage. Love it.

Well, when every Republican under 50 is like a walking SNL sketch, it ought to be happening a lot.  Kudos to you for being willing to consider alternatives.  Real conservatism died with John McCain, and what has replaced it is dangerous, offensive, and disgusting.

No, see, he stumbled over his words at least 4-5 times. That’s a clear sign that he’s a gurgling stumbling drooling senile blob of aphasia, and isn’t capable of holding office.

Did you not get the Tucker Carlson memo?
