Feels like a decade ago

The democratic primary process could be much better and more democratic.  I’m all for a nationwide rank choice primary followed by a nationwide runoff.  Get rid of the state maps and schedules vulnerable to manipulation.  Give everyone a chance to cast a meaningful vote in the process at the same time.

That's probably more than the dotard admin did the entire time they were in office.

Why is this news that NPR Politics publishes? Being overly focused on appearance instead of substance for decades is how we got to President Trump.

My guess is that they wanted to highlight the contrast between sartorial affairs and unhinged lunatic conspiracy theories.

what's the executive order on racial equity about ?

  1. Review and advance racial equity in the federal government. That means a general review of equity in every department. It also includes every program, especially those that hire federal contractors or hand out loans and grants.

color me shocked that he actually left a letter. who wants to bet he actually wrote it?

It actually probably just says “I’ll talk, just cut me a deal. You can have Jared and Ivanka and Don Jr.”

Art sat on this until today

Read that elsewhere today -- the full text:

Quote
On Thursday Sept 12, 2019, a @houstonpolice officer was shot by a suspect shortly after the end of the @DNC Presidential Debate @TexasSouthern. 3 days later @JoeBiden called me to check in on our officer and stated the following: “If you think it would be helpful to his spirit and recovery, I would like to visit him at the hospital. No media, I simply want to lift his spirits.”
After checking with the officer and his family, then Vice-President Biden and I visited the officer and his family. The visit took place during a campaign, yet not a peep of the visit went public. The officer, his family, & hospital staff were all lifted by the visit.
I share this today to illustrate the decency of the man who we now call Mr. President, although he prefers to be called Joe.

I mean.....this alone....just this....is more humanity and decency than we saw from the Shitheel over the entire tenure of his awful presidency.

And I am close with someone who worked with Biden for years in the Senate and considers him a friend.  He has clearly stated, numerous times, that this aspect of Biden's personality is the real deal.

The Trumpkins and Qtards can indulge in their insane fantasies all they want -- and we can all have periodic or even regular policy disagreements with Biden (I have had many over the years) -- but if you don't believe that he is a decent human being, you are fucking warped.

No talk of inauguration attendance. No blatant lies. No antagonizing reporters.

We need a prop.  Seems like every Trump admin presser had a table with blank paper, or easels with blown up pics or charts or whatever.

Bunch of lazy asses in this admin; can't even get their damned props ready for a presser.

One thing Jen touched on briefly, but I am amazed at the development of the EO's such that they were sign-able on day 1.  Who worked on those?  Certainly the old admin would not allow civil service staffers to spend time on those.

Transition teams reviewed them mostly likely.

Team Biden appointees, who then vetted them with legal counsel.  Since the existing EO's were public info, they had all the material they needed to revert them.
