As I’ve said previously

Can’t overlook these Gators next week. DJ running the show I think is going to get the offense going and the defense isn’t absolute shit like last year.

Man I bragged on Malik Murphy earlier today… before the three turnovers he had.

This guy on this 4th down play sums up the Gator fan base right now.

Strickland is gone. Short bus Billy gets another year but his seat is at the bottom of the fire burning like a coal.

Damnit LSU is driving I really hope this Gator defense can force another field goal.

Brain Kelley is a joke it’s bullshit short bus Billy keeps losing to him

I can’t recall a team making such a drastic mid-season turn around on the field and on the recruiting trail

DJ & Baugh and a slew of other young talent.   Kids see what's coming and want to be a part of it.  Billy isn't a great coach, but he is a player's coach.

Napier might actually have options in terms of bringing in an OC now that he isn't a dead man walking into next season.  He'll still probably fuck everything up by continuing to call plays.

It also helps that FSU took themselves out of the OC search pool by hiring Gus Malzhan today.

So apparently, the Gator Bowl wanted Florida and visa versa but Alabama missing the CFP started a chain reaction.

Citrus took USC over Bama and Ole Miss. Bama goes to Reliaquist (Tampa/Outback).

Liberty wanted Mizzou or Ole Miss because of proximity but neither wanted Liberty because of stadium construction.

SEC overruled Gator and sent Ole Miss there. Gator is unhappy because they don't expect Ole Miss fans to travel.

SEC bumped Arkansas up into the Tier 1 group because Liberty wanted a closer team.

Florida was satisfied at taking the Gasparilla for easy travel even though it was a step down.

Yeah. I'm optimistic. I haven't seen any Gator starters sitting out the bowl yet.

No idea what to expect on the other side. Tulane's QB entered the portal yesterday.

I guess keeping Billy was the correct thing to do

Even before this, I think it’s been obvious that they ended this year with momentum that will carry into next year.

As of right now, I’ll consider going 2-1 @ The Shoe, @ The Swamp and @ Between the Hedges would be a success*

*of course by mid-August I’ll be expecting nothing less than 3-0

Miami swiping key assistant away from in-state rival

Florida secondary coach is expected to take a similar role at Miami, per a report.

Zach Barnett      Feb 13, 2025

Florida secondary coach Will Harris is expected to join Miami's staff, according to a report Thursday from CBS Sports.

Harris, 36, spent one season at Florida after coming aboard from the LA Chargers. He spent 2022 as the defensive coordinator at Georgia Southern, and 2018-21 coaching defensive backs at Washington.

Washington's 2021 secondary was among the best in the nation, leading the nation in yards and touchdown passes allowed while ranking third in passing efficiency.

The former USC defensive back got his start in 2013 as the secondary coach at Northwestern Oklahoma State. He's also tutored secondaries at Humboldt State, Dixie State and San Jose State.

He'll join a re-made defensive staff that saw the nation's No. 1 total, per play and scoring offense undone by a defense that could not get off the field. The Hurricanes allowed 25.3 points per game on the season, but 42 apiece in season-ending losses to Syracuse and Iowa State. The former knocked Miami out of the College Football Playoff.

Minnesota's Corey Heatherman was hired last month as Miami's new defensive coordinator, and now Mario Cristobal has another key piece as he looks to bring Miami back to the nationally elite.
