Abbott raises the offer to $10K and takes the money from the State education fund.

This is abso-fucking-lutely going to happen - only question is whether Huffines gets a tweet out goading him to do it before Abbott pulls the trigger.

If Abbott beats him to it, Huffines will tweet out that if he were governor he'd be offering prima nocta and 20k.

It's amazing how DeSantis is racing to show he's a shittier person than Abbott, but the Mogwai is nipping at Abbott's wheels, so I expect him to come out with something similar.

Stone is in for the grift.  no way he legitimately runs against Trump's boy.

Depends.  What if Trump told DeSantis to step aside for 2024 while he mulls over his options and DeSantis didn't kiss the ring?  Stone makes the threat, ostensibly about the audit, but they understand it's about destroying DeSantis in 2022 (no way he can run for President in 2024 if he can't carry Florida).

Same thing could happen in Texas.  If Abbott makes Trump uncomfortable or whatever, Trump could tell Huffines to run third-party in the general and Huffines would gladly do it.  Abbott loses, and his chances of a future Presidential run are over.

Trump has the power to play these games, and he's dumb enough to do it.

And he gets to play the "DeSantis and Abbott lost Florida and Texas but I will win them!" card.

That would be cool if dotard sabotaged them enough for D’s to win FL and TX then dotard died before the 2024 campaign really got going.  Actually I’m ok with just the part about him dying.

Herbert Hoover did the exact same thing in the Mississippi Delta country as Secretary of Commerce under the guise of flood relief, and parlayed that into a successful Presidential run. We all know how that turned out.

DeSantis invokes MLK as he proposes “Stop Woke Act” against critical race theory

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2021/12/15/desantis-stop-woke-act-mlk-crt/

As Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) was introducing proposed legislation that would allow parents to sue schools teaching critical race theory in the classroom, he invoked the words of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. to try to make his point about the Stop Woke Act and the escalating conflict over the teaching of race.

“You think about what MLK stood for. He said he didn’t want people judged on the color of their skin, but on the content of their character,” DeSantis said Wednesday to a rally-style crowd in Wildwood, Fla. “You listen to some of these people nowadays, they don’t talk about that.”

DeSantis’s Stop the Wrongs to Our Kids and Employees Act — which comes months after Florida banned the teaching of critical race theory in public schools despite no evidence of it happening in the state — would give parents “private right of action” to sue if they think their kids are being taught critical race theory, as well as let parents collect attorneys’ fees if they win the lawsuit. The proposal, which promises to be “the strongest legislation of its kind in the nation,” would also apply to the workplace, according to a news release.

Ah the old reverse racism trope. Good work florida.

Nikki Fried can be very rude at times (click the image). She just might contend for the Governor's seat!

She knows how to play the game, that's for sure.  Half of all MAGAts would vote for this if given the chance:

Just to be clear: any Democrat or person with a brain will vote for Fried (assuming she gets the nomination).  But Fried's RATs will swing enough dumbasses her way to win in a tight election.  Her campaign motto: "Hey, my platform is up here."

He will emerge from this as the front-runner for the Republican nominee for President, and y'all know it. He knows silence now is a positive for him with his base.

The DeSantis family never shared at which stage Casey's breast cancer was staged. It's possible he has taken vacation time while she has surgery/treatment.

I know that sounds like I'm being sarcastic, but with three children under age 5, that would be a good thing to do.

So what's the best hospital in Florida?  My guess is he's on the ICU floor.

What horrific deeds did she do in her previous life for this karma -- to be tethered to this chode, have THREE kids under 5 with him (with the necessary sexual acts that probably occurred more than three times), and have cancer at her age? Fuck. She must have been a lesser demon.
