Herbie is just lying his ass off.   Football teams get beat to shit over the course of a season, even the “healthy” ones.  Ohio State has a huge advantage only playing half a season.

Clemson plays in the ACC.  Beat the number 1 and 3 ranked teams in the conference.  Played nothing but JV junk otherwise.

6-0 vs 10-1.  If they win the title there should definitely be an asterisk.

(So like 80% of college football's mnc's....)

Agree. It could be easily argued that Ohio State has a huge advantage by playing less games.

injuries, freak plays/weird calls/coach screws up/rash of TO's, team just doesn't show up.  that said, they are pretty damn good.  If Michigan was any good it would be problematic but no one thought Michigan had any chance to beat them anyway.

Pisses me off that Ryan Day has an adjustable straps mask but never comes close to making it fit.  Superspreader douche.

if I was an NFL team the biggest thing that would give me pause from this game about Lawrence is how much he throws off his back foot to avoid taking a hit. It started before he took any real hits. It’s a stark contrast to what Fields has shown tonight.
Couple things.

To act as though the pass pro between the two was in anyway comparable tonight is wrong.

The NFL shouldn't base jack off one game. And they won't.

Fields was on point. He's got the physical tools no doubt. But when's he pressured he does not make good decisions. Not necessarily today but Indiana and Northwestern. He did throw into triple coverage twice tonight. When he had time. He's money when it goes according to plan.

This game highlights the import of line play. Top flight teams have skill guys that will shine if the guys up front perform. See also Mac Jones, a more physically gifted Ken Dorsey.

Quoting again just for Doc Sam

Lol our second string took Notre Dame to double overtime. Clemson isn't going anywhere, but there's a definite concern that the gap is widening between Bama/Georgia/OSU and everyone else in terms of recruiting talent
