Never mind that the best rookie DL went undrafted from a Big 12 school.

Quote

Ford finished the regular season with an overall grade of 90.3 – the tenth highest grade among interior defensive tackles this season.

That's what someone said on IT, but I'm hoping to see exactly what he said

And the Jaquelin Roy pipe dream is bursting, too (what kind of idiot pins their hopes at a position on pulling a U Lab kid from Baton Rouge?)

Sounds like he's conceding Broughton while trying to bring them down slowly on Collins

He's [Broughton] going to be a longshot for the Ags and always was. He's always liked Texas. Definitely not a foregone conclusion the Ags will split the two, as Collins' mom went to Texas. I wrote in my article that a split would be a good coup for the Aggies with the two top DLs this year, which is why OOS and Mowry are going to be pretty significant at perhaps the state's weakest position in 2020.

And it applies to life far beyond the realm of sports.  I'll start:

After boasting about being the richest public university on the planet their current mental gymnastics to explain their demands for more money from the state legislature  are truly impressive.

We all know why it's "weak". aggy isn't going to land any of them. That's Liucci's way of saying they aren't going to A&M.

Of course, and it's going to be hilarious when they get OOS bread and spin it as better than what was available in state.

Outstanding.  Outside of Leal, the big 4 we are after are better/more potential than anybody in Texas in the 2019 class, and I'm a big fan of Sweat's potential.

Yep, it is very likely that Dorbah, Collins, Broughton, and Umanmielen are all ranked higher than Mowry.

"After two years of subpar DL recruiting."  I guess they missed us signing Coburn, Ossai, and Ojomo.

They didn’t miss anything, they’re just lying bags of shit.

Yeah they badly wanted every one of those guys and whiffed on all 3.

Can’t stop reading. Reality setting in and can’t wait for their 5 loss season.

And that reality is that they were able to achieve near parity with The University of Texas in a single endeavor (FB recruiting) for a period measured in weeks before order was restored.  Moreover, that single competition was not an end unto itself but merely a single input into a much larger goal where aggy is so far behind TEXAS that we can't even see them in the rear view mirror.

Three guys they desperately wanted too.

Herman is from California. ATX feels a lot like California, but actually likes football. Even we only took four (awesome) Californians last cycle, none of whom was a DE. But sure, that's transferable to you.

They aren't getting anyone from California lulz.  And with Florida winning a NY6 Bowl and Diaz getting the HC bump at Miami they aren't going to pull any high rated Florida kids either.  I see Chris Russel, Major Burns type OOS kids for them.

Thought they were all in and pretty much going to land Sylvester?  How long until he's better than Collins and Broughton?

They may end up breaking the bank for Branard Wright and that Chidozie kid from Houston.

To be fair, a kid from Bakersfield or Merced might feel right at home in Collie Station...
