This is true of their 2019 class, too, right?

If Green was going somewhere like Bama, Ohio State, or Georgia that gets who they want on the OL, I think there's a decent chance Green would end up at OG because I think that's where he's elite, but I think he's passable at OT in college if his body doesn't blow up. Medley and Robinson are interior guys. Looking back at what I posted about Trainor, I thought that he had great size, but zero pass pro highlights and just ok athleticism, so likely an OT project who could end up in the interior of they find better tackle options

So Perroni is at Smart Chibuzo's game tonight and he's playing Right Guard.  Seen a post from an aggy asking why all the 2020 guys are Guards and not going after Tackles.  It's like they just now realize what we did back in the spring when all 4 of those committed.

Akinola is the only one who has a shot at being a tackle, but he should probably be a guard, kind of like a Ghirmai or Okafor, unless he improves a lot. He's a good guard or maybe swing prospect if you have tackle taken care of.

Bankhead is a mauling guard who can't play anything else. He's already massive, like 330 without much athletic upside, but he could potentially be a less athletic Chasen Hines. Again, could be a good take assuming you already have tackle taken care of, but there's a chance he gets too big and becomes a guy who can only block down in the run game.

Chibuzo is a tall guard all the way. A middle class man's Akinola, perhaps.

Jefferson is a bad prospect, not sure what they're thinking there. Maybe they're planning on him being a center? I'll be shocked if he ends up in their class

The first three could be potential takes, especially the first two, but these aren't guys you take before their junior even starts, these are guys you monitor their physical development to see if they stay on the correct path during their senior year, and you especially don't take more than one of them if your roster is short on real offensive tackles, much less all four

Looking at the top 30 for next year in-state. The only uncommitted guys that look like aggy leans at the moment are Mcglothern, Mickens ( maybe?? ), and Sylvester, who's practically begging for a Texas offer.

Yes but is that From Liucci’s top 44? That’s he only list I trust.

Are we sure Mcglothern is an aggy lock? He's been pretty open to Texas, especially with Herman and Washington/Naviar/Orlando getting the best to play early. Year two under Herman and we're headed to the CC game, and will most likely end up with a double digit season winning record. I just don't believe he's as much of an aggy lock as people make it out to be. He's visiting Texas again at some point.

I have no kind of special insight here and I'm only guessing and repeating stuff I've read, so take this post for what it is - message board rumors and baseless speculation. But there's a ton of smoke about McGlothern's recruitment being less than clean. The big rumor that seems to pop up over and over again is that Adidas sponsoring Fast 7-on-7 provides an incentive for Ro Simon to push him to aggy because it's an Adidas school. Also, the fact that he does appear to be awfully tight with Ro Simon makes me suspicious as well. Ro doesn't strike me as someone I'd want hanging around my kid's recruitment if I was looking to avoid NCAA trouble. It seems pretty obvious to me why Jimbo made cozying up to the 7-on-7 crowd one of his top priorities after he signed that ridiculous deal with aggy.

However, there's also some buzz for him with Bama and LSU - two other schools not exactly known for their squeaky clean recruiting tactics - but they still make more sense than aggy, who aren't as highly regarded in terms of putting top tier DB talent in the NFL.

I do agree that McGlothern seems like he's interested in us and visiting a lot. I have absolutely no idea why a DB would pick aggy over the real DBU. Plus, I've always thought that the Big XII is the best landing spot for DBs (and pass rush specialists - unless you want to get way more practice in run support than you'd otherwise get playing the pass). Plus, with aggy looking they're actually going to take a step back next year, maybe that gives us an "in."

Fingers crossed that the rumors and rumbling about this kid are wrong - because he'd be fantastic as a Horn.

Is The Marine going to coach up all them guards aggy is recruiting?  Their OL looks like a long term train wreck.  Which is typical for Jimbo

FSU might have the worst offensive line in the P5 this year

This right here. I'd heard the FSU line was bad, but had no idea just how bad until I watched parts of their game against NC State a couple of weeks ago. Those guys make Britt Mitchell look like an All-American. It actually makes me pretty excited to see what happens when aggy rolls out a starting OL of 5 guards in a couple of years. Hell, maybe they can line on up at tight end and play six - or even seven if they go to 12 personnel. What could go wrong?

Cam Akers is also criminally underused. The kid is an amazing player, but averages only 10 carries a game. That's on Taggert. You would think a guy who understands the position would use Akers to his full potential, but nope. It reminds me of how we use Ingram. Although Ingram had some injuries, so maybe that's the issue with Akers.

Terrible OL doesn’t typically offer many run opportunities.

Future Grad transfer somewhere or transfer I guess since he hasn’t used a redshirt.

Why not? They went with 13, 14, 15 whatever on Saturday.

Now that Hamm is irrelevant, even to aggys, looks like FWK has hooked up with texags to hype his clients.

Read as:  Now that Hamm has been terminated by Jimbo and Co for being a liability, looks like they have instructed recruiting arm Texags to hook up with FWK to try to funnel players to them.
