It looks like aggy is going all in on Branard Wright and the Mississippi DT McKinley Jackson at DT for this class.

Wright is considered a heavy LSU lean right now and LSU boards say Jackson's HS coach is a huge Bama' fan and is pushing him to Bama'.

I'm good with one of those two taking Wright

I'll go ahead and predict we get the Clemson beat down of aggy next year that we all thought would happen this year.  Game @ Clemson, no QB rotating, Tigers return nearly everyone on offense and defense minus DL.

I predict we’re about to get an entire offseason of “we BARELY lost to the national champion in our first year...trust Jimbo. Trust the process.”

Betting A&M throws enough $$$ at those recruitments to change a few minds,

Yep. And not close to same team.  Lawrence getting all the snaps is just a much different team.  Bryant was a jag

By any measure, No. 1 Alabama and No. 2 Clemson are the top two college football teams in the country—facing off in the national championship game for the third time in four years.

But there’s one title neither can claim: the most valuable college football program in the country.

That honor belongs to Texas, according to an annual study conducted by Ryan Brewer, an associate professor of finance at Indiana University-Purdue University Columbus. The Longhorns are worth $1.1 billion, according to Brewer’s analysis, which moved them into the top slot after Ohio State had held that role for the prior three years.

(See a list of the College Football Value Rankings.)

Brewer’s study calculates what a college team would be worth on the open market if it could be bought and sold like a professional sports franchise. Brewer analyzes each program’s revenues and expenses along with cash-flow adjustments, risk assessments and growth projections.

Ohio State, which had been worth $1.5 billion in last year’s study, saw that number drop to $1 billion—a product of both broader economic conditions and the tumult the Buckeyes experienced this season. Urban Meyer coached his last game for the school in a Rose Bowl win over Washington after a stormy year in which the coach was suspended by the school at the start, the product of an investigation into the school’s handling of abuse allegations against former wide receivers coach Zach Smith, allegations Smith has denied.

“Losing Urban Meyer is a serious blow to that program,” Brewer said. “He was a tremendous asset.”

More broadly, Brewer said, the Big Ten faces fundamental questions after missing the playoff yet again this season, highlighted by Ohio State’s exclusion as a one-loss team. While Michigan joins the Buckeyes near the top, ranked No. 4 with a $924.6 million valuation, Brewer noted the conference’s absence from the season’s biggest stage damages the teams’ bottom lines and broader profiles.

Brewer’s analysis found that across the Football Bowl Subdivision, adjusted revenues were $5.6 billion, up 6.4% from a year ago, and the cash flow of $2 billion marked a 2.7% jump. But the value of the college sports properties, he said, are also a product of the economy in general which he said is at a “fork in the road” with more negativity than a year ago—hurting team values.

Alabama, which has won five titles in the last nine years under coach Nick Saban, has a $1 billion valuation, rounding out the three programs worth 10 figures. That’s more than three times the value of Clemson, its title-game opponent, valued at $298 million.

Although Texas—a Big 12 school—tops the list and boasts the highest adjusted revenue at $163.9 million, the Southeastern Conference dominates the top of the rankings. Even as Alabama has pummeled its conference opponents into submission on the field in recent years, those same SEC schools have still proven to be lucrative properties: Seven of the 12 most valuable programs are in the SEC.

Probably mcglothern, Sylvester, omiere etc. Aggy mentioned Evans but he was scheduled to be in Austin but his brother had to work supposedly so hope he doesn’t find a way to college station. I have a feeling a few oline will visit them. But I believe they are bringing in 19 class official visitors too.

A guy committed, a 21 wr, two guys that I doubt see early offers from them. Plus two guys they already have $$$. Not guys that really  mess with Texas recruiting if that is the extent.

When and if dorbah, Collins, broughton and princely visit there that is the weekends Texas needs to watch.

Dorbah and Princely don't have aggy offers.  The only time I know Collins has visited was the Clemson game.  Broughton will visit them at some though and he'll be the only real head-to-head battle against aggy.  Herman needs to win this one.

I take Sylvester, Broughton, Alec Bryant and Brainard Wright  are their targets on the dl in state?

No on Bryant.  They are after a 5* DT in Mississippi that they have about as much a chance signing as they did Nakobe Dean.  They can have Wright.  Herman needs to win Broughton.

(Brian Perroni) VIP News: Lots of A&M buzz at Fast7v7 media day

HOUSTON - Ahead of its first tournament of the season next weekend in Atlanta, the Fast7v7 team held its media day on Saturday afternoon in Houston. There were quite a few big name prospects in attendance and also some news and notes to come out of the event.

- Alvin Shadow Creek class of 2020 safety Xavion Alford has seen a number of offers as of late. The 6-foot, 184-pound junior says his coaches recently sent out his film. Two of his biggest offers are LSU and Michigan and he is high on both of those programs. He also likes both Texas and Texas A&M, though neither has offered just yet. With the Aggies, though, defensive coordinator Mike Elko came by his school this week and let Alford know he was definitely on the radar. Alford is also joining a few of the other Fast7v7 guys on an unofficial visit to College Station late Saturday afternoon and he plans to meet with Elko and head coach Jimbo Fisher.

- Cedar Hill Trinity Christian five-star junior cornerback Dwight McGlothern was once very hign on A&M. While he still includes the Aggies in his top group, some others have made up ground. He specifically mentioned Ohio State, LSU, Alabama and A&M as schools that were sticking out. He had originally planned to make an early commitment but will not likely wait until close to the Early Signing Period. McGlothern talks to Aggie freshman safety Leon O'Neal Jr. all the time and is still in College Station quite often. He will be there this evening as well and could return for the Super Bowl party. Georgia is also a school he mentioned and he and several of his Fast teammates will visit there while in Atlanta next weekend.

- Houston C.E. King safety Bryson Washington was thought to be joining the group in Aggieland this afternoon. However, the four-star prospect had already told Texas he would be in Austin for their junior day. He will be at A&M for the Super Bowl event, though. He has a few schools standing out to him - Texas, Clemson, Oklahoma, A&M, Georgia and LSU were the ones he specifically mentioned. He likes the staff at A&M a lot.

- Another Aggie safety target, Nehki Meredith of Virginia Beach (Va.) Bishop Sullivan, was not at the media day but will be playing with the team this year. He will join them next weekend in Atlanta. A high school teammate of Aggie defensive tackle signee Adarious Jones, the four-star junior is high on the Aggies and it definitely cannot hurt to have him on the same 7-on-7 team as so many A&M targets. There was some talk at the event that the Aggies are in good shape with him.

- Fort Bend Willowridge class of 2021 wide receiver Latrell Neville recently had stated that Ohio State was his top school. However, before that, it was A&M. Now, he is back to being a little more open in the very early-going. The 6-foot-3.5, 195-pound sophomore mentioned A&M, Ohio State, LSU, Oklahoma, Florida and Alabama as ones sticking out at the moment. He is nowhere close to making a decision, though. Neville will not be able to make it Aggieland today but will be in town for the Super Bowl event.

- With A&M five-star signee Kenyon Green at right tackle for Atascocita this past season, the left side was manned by a freshman in Kam Dewberry. The 6-foot-4, 285-pound class of 2022 prospect picked up an offer from Baylor before he ever attended a high school class. He thinks Florida State and Texas are close to offering as well. He is close to Green and is a fan of A&M and has talked to Jim Turner a bit.

- Katy Morton Ranch defensive tackle Brandon Brown is a very good class of 2020 prospect. He has not been hearing from A&M but the 6-foot-1, 290-pound junior has an offer from UTEP and thinks Oklahoma and UTSA are close to offering. He likes Texas Tech at this point.

- Fort Bend Hightower four-star offensive lineman and Texas A&M commit Smart Chibuzo has added quite a few offers recently and Oregon could be the next to add its name to the list. The 6-foot-5, 319-pound junior is solid to the Aggies, though. He and the other 2020 commits are working very hard on five-star running back Zachary Evans. Chibuzo also said he has grown very close to Jimbo Fisher and offensive line coach Jim Turner.

If I was high school qb listed at 6 ft I’d want my picture taken with that guy. Makes him look tall. Also if that is their 2021 qb take 👌🏼

It's a deceiving pic. The QB is wearing thick-heeled cowboy boots and Fisher, for the first time ever in public, is wearing flats.

He looks like they caught him before he could stand on his tippy toes though.

Coach Fisher made a few key stops in DFW and one of those that we haven't talked about was Cedar Hill. The Aggies have not yet extended offers to anyone at Cedar Hill, but there were a few guys they were looking at. One was 2020 OL Courtland Ford, who is committed to LSU. Ford has taken some huge strides in the strength and conditioning department over the last few months and I'm hearing he looks like he could have a huge 2019 season. 2020 APB Quin Bright is another one who caught the Aggie's attention. Bright is known for his quickness and pure speed, and he has been a big weapon for the Cedar Hill offense the last two seasons. 2021 WR Jaedon Wilson and 2021 QB Kaidon Salter were a couple of more. The two were at Bishop Lynch last fall, and have been pulling in scholarship offers over the last few weeks. All four were invited to Texas A&M's Junior Day in a few weeks.

Texas A&M's Terry Price and Joe Jon Finley also stopped by Southlake Carroll this week to see RJ Mickens. Mickens plans to visit Clemson for their elite Junior Day (Jan. 26) and he has been invited to Texas A&M's upcoming Junior Day. Another prospect to catch A&M's eye was 2020 TE Blake Smith (6-4, 240). Smith is QB turned TE like a certain new Texas A&M TE coach, and it shows in how he plays the game.

Little Elm 2020 CB Ryan Watts and Arlington 2020 ATH/CB Jahari Rogers have been as hot as any prospects over the last week, and it looks like both are also seeing things pick up from the Aggies. Watts welcomed offers from Illinois State, Arkansas, Oklahoma State, and Utah, while Rogers added SMU, Minnesota, TCU, Texas Tech, and Boston College. Both will visit for Texas A&M's Junior Day in a few weeks.

Duncanville ATH Ja'Quinden Jackson said he is attacking the offseason and preparing for track season. He said he doesn't have a top list of schools but both Texas and Texas A&M are two schools he thinks very highly of. He made it clear he wants to check out his college options, and he doesn't plan to narrow things down until his senior season. He also said he wants to announce his college decision at the Under Armour All-American game. He is not sure about visits, but the Aggie's did invite him to Junior Day.

Mansfield Timberview CB Jalen Kimber saw coach Fisher and coach Mo stop by the school and he plans to attend Texas A&M's upcoming Junior Day. The Aggies are one of the schools high on Kimber's list, and he has a few reasons why.

"Coach Mo and coach Fisher, they've started something brand new. They put in a new foundation and they're bringing something special to A&M and changing the culture. That's what I really like."

SMU, TCU, and Notre Dame are a few other schools he mentioned he was also very interested.
