sarcasm aside, it's amazing...that he can open up a briefcase with a keypad and he can't type "STOLEN ELECTION" but he can type "IV-937-AN-452-KA-069" and suddenly there's no longer a Pakistan.

Don't over-hype your nation dude, it's not a sticky note.  It's the backside of a Burger King coupon attached via masking tape.

We may not make it as a nation through the year, but we're all getting a free medium onion rings with our Whopper, Jr before 3/31/21

Gandorf-your penchant for the denouement is Larry David-esque.  With a bit of darker Mamet thrown in.

Keep in mind though, my 9000 comment was related to the luggage post in between.  But still, big kudos.

Feels good to laugh before bed.  My neighbor just asked me outside while we're taking our trash out, 'Hey we just got back from California, you follow politics---did something happen in DC today?'  I thought he was kidding, but he wasn't.  And I didn't have the energy to tell him anything in depth, so I told him that some shit got real in DC today.  And now tomorrow, my wife has to field questions from his wife asking if I'm okay.  And I'm not, but not because of this.  I miss regular insanity.

If the Pentagon is bypassing Trump to deal with Pence directly on securing the Capitol, surely, on everything holy, they aren’t actually letting Trump have nuclear authority or any other real CIC powers at this point.   I hope and pray that’s the case, anyway.

after the hacking recently, I hope not. He shouldn't be trusted with a cell phone.

For most of these assclowns, their party got broken up and they're done.  Their jobs are done, they have to face families with kids who are going to remind them they saw their dickhole parents on the news and inter webs, their leadership is done.  They're going to be even more hateful and spiteful from their actions because they're cowards blaming other for their failures.  There's some things that can't be purged and unseen and these people are among them.  Hopefully, they get to live on the run like they forced many migrants.  There's a special shame for these assholes, and they branded themselves.  And they lost their little capitol photo session, all respect and at the polls.  Traitors aren't forgotten.

Just in case it hasn't been posted, this is pretty dark and brilliant:

FFS. The Lincoln Project - bunch of scumbags. They just want to be back in power so they can start some more wars or give tax breaks to the ultra wealthy.

Seriously. What are y’all’s guesses about what happens between today and the inauguration?

Here are some of my guesses

Attack Iran - 75% chance

Trump runs to foreign country - 60% chance

MAGA riot/terrorism somewhere - 40% chance

Trump doesn’t leave WH - 15% chance

Trump tweets a shitload of conspiracy theories and blames Pence for his loss - 100% chance

MAGA riot/terrorism somewhere - 101% chance

I wonder how many this morning are trying to figure out Trump's remaining paths to victory.

Too many. The danger is ongoing and very very real. Complete conjecture on my part, but I don't believe Trump's going to leave peacefully, the statement that was released is designed to buy some time to let more unrest foment nationwide. It isn't just Trump that wants this. Those other folks I mentioned in another thread late last night that are hanging around on the fringes--the ones who have a less public role than the elected officials like Cruz and Hawley--someone who thinks a power grab or the chance to make more $$ is within reach are making plans. All the pardoned criminals who are grifting a buck, Roger Stone and friends--they are out there working: destroying what they can to get what they want.

The public officials, I'm sure some of the enablers regret their actions but I'm cynical to the point that 'power by any means necessary' is rationalized as 'my constituents want this so it's okay or any other delusion that keeps them seated in DC. It's not like they're going to resign.

This thread below on Trump is not wrong and although she doesn't have the check mark, she's a good 'follow' into the mindset of the desperate dementia musings of Donald Trump.

Also and this is VERY IMPORTANT:

That statement means nothing. It's like CDC's statement of support for Herman. He could get back on twitter tomorrow and tell everyone to get their asses back to the capitol and finish the job.

He could also fire everyone that he appointed. Some people are saying he's fond of that.
