LOL @ "Jesus' ploy."

"Ok.  Blessed are the peacemakers, the meek shall inherit the earth, yada, yada.  But seriously, Jesus.  What's your angle in all this?"

His fat buffoon of a father spent the entirety of his life perfecting the 7 deadly sins, so its logical that Eric would conjure up a hypothetical that has Jesus constructing a ploy to demonstrate for the world what a swell guy Donald is. That makes perfect fucking sense, well done Eric.

I once did a little business with a loan broker out here in O.C.   Motherfucker had a Harvard sticker on his car, Harvard shit in his office, and wore a Harvard V-neck sweater quite frequently.

I found out that he never went to college, but took some 2 week seminar on the Harvard campus at some point.

He also dyed his hair.

Early in my career, I worked with a guy who bought and wore a UT class ring from a pawn shop. He was so proud.

So, the civil suits filed against Trump for civil conspiracy in violation of 42 USC 1985 in fomenting 1/6 will move forward.  Dismissed as to Giuliani, Don Jr. and Mo Brooks.

This doesn't mean they're going to win, at all.  Far from it.  But, it does mean that the case moves into the discovery phase.  And a motion to dismiss is not immediately appealable.

I think discovery by private plaintiffs is going to be interesting.

Wife thought she heard from some news source that due to his financial lies/bullshit that Trump could lose his lease on Trump Hotel in DC where he’s trying to sell his lease for substantial profit.

Yeah, this has been brewing all week under all the other Trump crap.

Surprise, surprise!  Trump sitting a "mountain of cash" but hasn't given any of it to any other Republican candidates.

Trump’s Not Giving His Mountains of Cash to Other Republicans (msn.com)

He’ll use it to pay his own legal expenses and to pay himself to hold his campaign events at his properties. Like always.

Haven't really been following this because I assumed they would just let him get away with it all but it's it looking like he might see prison? Or just get drilled enough where he can't run for president again

It's looking like he did a lot of illegal and unethical shit, but no, he won't see prison, probably won't even get indicted. He's protected from any and all actual consequences. Just how it seems to be. Makes me sick.

I'd stick with your original assumption. If the GQP controls the House and Senate after the midterms, and that seems likely, you're more likely to see Biden impeached and facing god know what, than you are to see any Trump family member in trouble. They just need to run out the clock another 6 months and they will.

Yep, unless you rock solidly firmly believe the above, you're going to be disappointed.

That's not to say you shouldn't try to oust every republican you can this election cycle.

If only for fun.

I really hope it comes out that the bulk of the confidential docs he took from the WH would be things China, Russia and/or UAE would be very interested in seeing.   You have to wonder how much is already gone.  Surely they have a catalog of these things and can definitely state 30,000 docs were missing and we retrieved 25,000.  Here's a clue as to what those 5,000 dealt with.

The symmetry of history is funny - his fucking casino failed on opening too and he spun it as "so many people tried to come in, it brought us down! The slot machines burned out!"

It's gonna be fun to watch the gray and black hat community get all up in his site, republican spin off social media sites tend to be pretty remarkably insecure
