He managed to get away with it through the Mueller investigation and two impeachment trials. I don’t see how anything is going to change. Him dropping dead is our only hope.

Well, any hope that a Republican Senate would convict Trump, or even call witnesses, was absolutely pissing in the wind, pushing a rope, pissing on a spark plug, furious mental masturbation, pick your "analogy."

Similarly, even attempting to depose Trump would have implicated the same things as his immunity from prosecution under OLC 24-0222 and Mueller made a core decision not to cross that bridge, for better or worse.

James' investigation and those things are apples and oranges.  As would be any federal (or state for that matter) criminal prosecution of Trump.

So, since he took office, Trump hasn't really been squarely legally challenged.  That would appear to be changing.

There is a 100% chance that he ties the Uvalde school shooting to the Big Lie.  Maybe even a 500% chance.  He will ALSO say "these things didn't happen when I was your great president."  Even though:

Sutherland Springs

Las Vegas

El Paso

Pittsburgh......and several others with lesser body counts

Happened during his presidency.

He just has to say all that happened under Obama and 40% of this country will believe him.

The bomb shelters are no secret: Cereal heiress Marjorie Merriweather Post, who built Mar-a-Lago in 1927, had the bomb shelters installed during the Korean War. "

Interesting.  Her father used much of his cereal fortune to found Post, TX, the Garza County seat, out near Lubbock.

Biggs/Jackson/Bobo/Cammack is a terrible opening lineup.

Look I’m no trump defender in any sense of the meaning.

That 2nd one was actually delivered great and was funny as shit. Pretend it was anyone else. That’s a good joke.

Good joke or no? Idk what to tell you.

Not funny. Just sad. His doctors lie and his wife hates him. He’s fat, stupid, ugly, and lies constantly. He’s an imbecile. The fact that anyone takes him seriously is tragedy, not comedy.

It was like a Rodney Dangerfield joke.

No it wasn’t. Trump’s “joke” has a fictional doctor reporting on how fine a physical specimen he is. (Which was a lie that actually happened in real life.)

Rodney Dangerfield’s fictional physician was Dr. Vinnie Boombatz. Google it. Rodney joked that his psychiatrist told him he was crazy so he said he wanted a second opinion. His doctor said, “Okay, you’re ugly too!”

Dangerfield’s comedy was self-deprecating. Trump is a narcissist. There’s no similarity.

Fuck it. I’ll help you out. Dangerfield was a comedian. Trump is a jackass.

I thought it was a good joke. Trump is objectively funny, it’s a big part of his appeal.

What part was funny? The part where he lied about his doctor saying he was healthy? Or the part where he told us what we already knew, that his marriage to Melania (aka Melanie) is just for show?

If you thought that was funny then you’ll love this one:

Knock knock

Who’s there?

Two plus two

Two plus two who

FOUR!

Hilarious.

A channel to promote....evangelicals (among other things).  From Donald Trump.

Donald Trump’s emerging media and technology company has taken a stab at further refining its business plans, promising in a new SEC filing that its forthcoming streaming service will be a “non-woke alternative” to Netflix and Disney+.
Following a merger with the blank check firm (or SPAC) Digital World Acquisition, Trump Media and Technology Group has embarked on a path toward a public listing, with expectations for regulatory approval to come before the end of 2022. DWAC is already publicly traded but is for now just the shell company for Trump’s media effort, which is backed by $1 billion from a range of investors.

Quote

This morning, the former president’s company detailed more of its plans in an expanded prospectus disclosed to the SEC.
Programming on TMTG+, the document said, will include “blue collar comedy, cancelled shows, Trump-specific programming, faith-based shows, family entertainment, shows that embrace the Second Amendment, and news.”
TMTG+, the prospectus adds, “will provide a platform for conservative and/or libertarian views, and otherwise cancelled content from other broadcast television and/or digital streaming platforms.”

Podcasts are also being positioned as an element of the TMTG+ offering.
The subscription streaming outlet will be “similar to Netflix, Disney+, and other current offerings,” according to the filing. But despite its political orientation, “TMTG intends to produce or acquire entertainment simply for entertainment’s sake. TMTG’s programming will thus provide a non-woke alternative to the programs offered by streaming services that operate in an increasingly politicized environment. TMTG will not censor the creators of entertainment for TMTG+, nor will it insist that its programming push some particular political ideology.”

Quote

The company sees “an acute need for quality programming that does not lecture its viewers or only present one ‘acceptable’ approach to a topic. Entertainers and creators have frequently been agents for change in our society. Large media conglomerates become increasingly monolithic in their views, cancelling those who disagree with the prevailing narrative. TMTG believes that embracing diverse perspectives will differentiate TMTG+ in the current crowded media and entertainment marketplace.”
