A story about a pathetic man's downfall [34 Felony Convictions]

I'm thinking that the best most of us can do is to just ignore Trump.  Not because it's not possible that he will get the nomination.   I genuinely think that he feeds off of ANY attention given to him by his enemies.

I'm not going to play as big a part in that as I did last time around

national review off the top rope.

Counterpoint: NR and all other “tough conservatives” who once condemned Trump for all the right reasons have proven themselves to be pathetic, spineless simps. They’ll get in line. 18 months from now, we’ll all be able to read the NR piece on “he’s not perfect, but he’s our guy.” There is no greater group of spineless unprincipled cowards on earth than American “conservatives.” These people are such cowardly pussies that they carry a gun to go get a scoop of ice cream. They’re his little bitches, and they’ll line up to fellate him like he tells them to.
Every one of you knows I’m right.

On a side note, watching Pence try to take on Trump in the primary season will be a real-time political snuff film. That spineless cuck spent 4 years with Trump's cock and balls down his throat and was 100% in lock step with dotard on every political initiative. He couldn't even introduce Trump at a routine midday press conference without a standard 5 minute monologue praising Trump for his political wizardry and emphasizing what a blessing it was to be a part of such a magnificent administration. The only time I can remember those two being opposed was on the matter of election certification, and that caused the majority of the GQP to fucking despise the man. AOC has a better chance of winning the republican nomination than Pence, and watching Trump publicly emasculate him every time he opens his cock holster will be a riot.

On Morning Joe today they said that Pence twice mentioned questions about the integrity of the 2020 election in his new book. Gotta cover himself, I guess, so he can say he addressed it. Spineless little worm. He did one decent thing in his entire political career and he’s afraid to stand up, speak out, and own it. And to do that one decent thing he had to seek advice from Dan fucking Quayle, of all people.

Two more years of Trump being the center of the US's political coverage is just depressing.  I keep randomly checking in to see if he got indicted knowing he it won't happen.  Kind of like buying that lottery ticket and for a few days fantasizing about being a millionaire.   Instead we'll get the what crazy thing he said today news.  The "oh this is really bad for him this time" news.  That one is the worst, imo.  Oh yeah,  this looks bad but they'll get him real soon news.

Ugh.

He’s been the center of political coverage since 2016. The news can’t quit him.

Well, what you seemed to have missed is that the US, particularly the leadership of one of our two main parties, has, ummmm, changed their position on nazis since then.  They're part of the "good people on both sides" that the leader of that party was talking about.  I coulda sworn you got the memo -- to the GQP, nazis are good now.  Xenophobia?  CHECK.  Strident ethnic nationalism?  CHECK.  Anti-semitism?  CHECK.

Seriously, walk through the German history museum in Berlin, and review the displays about the rise and rhetoric of the nazi party.  It's like reading an American newspaper from the past few years.

How is Pence going to distance himself from the Dotard? The closest he’s come so far is saying “we don’t see eye to eye” on the day Trump attempted a coup and almost got Pence killed. Everything else for six years has been rainbows and blowjobs.

If Pence goes at Trump, his strategy will be the Katie Hobbs playbook.  There will be no debate and we will barely see him.

My thinking is to follow the money.  Trump wants the rubes to give him small amounts, and he also wants the big pac monies and dark money. He doesn’t want to spend any of it.

if the big money stays away, will he be ok with what’s left?

will he spend as much as needed to fund a run?  Even more as an independent?

will some of the rube money head back to traditional R places?  How much?

also where will the Russian and Chinese action be this time?  Do they still want him, or do they want someone that’s more likely to win the general?

He has a [not so] secret plan to make the money go further,  don't pay his bills.

Trump will lose the primary, claim it’s rigged and then run as an Ind.  It’s the only way he can keep asking for money.  He’s never stopped doing that since 2016.
”Billionaire” indeed.

He’s superpower is being a petty, vindictive bitchass. He will run as independent even in just swing states.

NR has zero credibility. Zero. Here’s the timeline.

Late 2023: Maybe?

Primary Season: Could be….

Post-Primary: “Donald J. Trump isn’t an ideal candidate. But at this challenging moment, conservatives need to put their reservations aside and defeat the radical left agenda fundamentally…..(5,000 word think piece by pseudo-intellectuals explaining why now it’s “yes” To DJT.)

DeSantis and Pence will be obliterated by Trump in just about any “debate” format. Cruz has some troll bonafides and is experienced. Abbott will be furniture. Any primary as usual will lead to a Trump nomination. He sucks all the energy in the room.

means justify the ends. They really, really, really believe they are fulfilling Matthew 28:16-20 by stacking the court by whatever means to over turn Roe and now outlaw any semblance of an abortion for any reason. Pence was the shrewd God ordained leader to make that happen throuh the vessel of Trump and all is okay because of the end result. I'm not making one ounce of this up, this is really what they believe.

This is EXACTLY the path that will be followed.

If ANY of you expects principles, consistency, or courage from ANYONE associated with the American "conservative" movement.....prepare to be disappointed.  A handful have tried it (Liz Cheney, etc.).  They were promptly drummed out as apostates, because that's how cults work.  The rest, including NR, will get in line.  Because they're pathetic simpering bitches.

You're equating a photo op to influence?

I could be wrong, but you'll have to bring more than that.  Or we could just focus on our overall agreement on Kissinger.

Kissinger wasn’t there for a photo op. He doesn’t care about that. He was there to give advice. I never said he was pulling strings. But he wasn’t there for a cup of tea, either.

And he gets around. He reportedly relayed to Trump that Xi said he prefers to deal with Trump rather than the Democrats who care about human rights and stuff like that.

trump actually did a smart thing last night - he went right after biden.  he will spend the next 2 years acting like he's already the republican nominee, because he is.

everyone says, "oh, desantis will wait a while to engage, cruz, pence, they'll get in when they need to."  this is a trap.  if they get in early, they'll have to endure 18 months of trump's nonsense.  if they wait too long, the presumption will already be made.

it's really a no-win situation for all the pubs that are "ready to move on".  never lose sight of the goal - we need desantis to beat trump in the primary.  that's the best possible scenario here.

before the 2020 election, i said trump had a better chance to win in 24 than in two weeks.  he exceeded expectations then, and i'm not sure i still believe what i said about 24, due to the midterms and the fatigue and the (shudder) common sense of a lot of american voters.  it also helps that the sec of states of a lot of swing states held.  thank god.

i think trump loses to biden in 2024.  i think if desantis beats trump in the primaries, he will also lose to biden, but it could tear apart the gop, which is the ultimate goal.

No kidding. I watched the Pence interview last night. It's amazing. Trump had people chanting "Hang Mike Pence" and in that Interview MP still couldn't be direct and forceful in any attack.

David Muir: "We do know that the former President could announce any day now that he’s running for president yet again. Given all that you witnessed in the Capitol on that day, this is a pretty straightforward question, a yes or a no. Do you believe that Donald Trump should ever be President again?"

Mike Pence: "David, I think that’s up to the American people. But I think we’ll have better choices in the future. The people of this country actually get along pretty well once you get out of politics. And I think they want to see their national leaders start to reflect that same compassion and generosity of spirit. So in the days ahead, I think there will be better choices."

When asked about being a presidential candidate:

David Muir: Do you believe you can beat Donald Trump?

Mike Pence: Well, that would be for others to say. And it’d be for us to decide whether or not we’d want to test that.

If you can't even say that you believe you can win, you've already lost.

Dems are always going to be buried financially by GQP dark money, but Dems have a massive advantage in their ability to force multiply their spending through viral social media.

Whatever it cost to rent that van is dwarfed by the nationwide publicity it is getting.

That, I love.  The Dems are learning.  Bait the narcissist.  Constantly, 24/7.  It will destroy him internally, and make him even more toxic in his external behavior.

This is how you deal with a narcissist who won't go away: you torture him to death.

Sorry, I was referring to the rolling billboard of Fox calling the election for Biden.  My screen was glitchy.

L O fucking L at the idea that the political party, and I use that term loosely, whose entire platform in 2020 was quite literally just "trump" and who has spent the past two years spreading lies about elections, holding an actual, real primary, with debates and actual votes.  Trump will be the nominee, and there won't be a real primary process.

sorta reminds of the movie trope where the main bad guy (TFG) steps on a lower bad guy (GQP) to save himself, leaving peon to perish. in this case, I hope both fall to their (political) deaths. And wouldn't mind if some literal death happened along the way too.
