Trump solemnly praying in a military jacket at the border is the best. The messianic image these people project onto this total fucking clown is just incredible. I have never seen anything like it. These people believe that Trump works tirelessly for the good of the country, is deeply religious, makes all kinds of sacrifices, frets over the well-being of all Americans. While this guy paints Trump as messiah/founding father/patriot in essentially religious iconograpy, 90+ year-old Sunday school teacher Jimmy Carter whistles hymns while he builds houses for the poor.

AsBrickHorn andMdhorn have already pointed out, this is the chef kiss of Trump portraits.

It was the one that immediately brought a laugh. Trump fishing? Ha!

Trump showing up to fish wearing a suit? Holy shit!

The fantasy world of Trump is truly Fan-Fucking-Tastic!

Man, they are all hilarious, but Donald sitting around a table full of Republican heavy hitters, while he smiles ruefully as they can't hold his attention is chef's kiss

That is the one that is the most absurd. Frederick Douglass and Harriet Tubman anywhere near that racist? Gtfo.

Here's the description from the artist.  I think he's missing a bit from his history:

Quote

And as I thought about that hope, I couldn’t help but think about our HISTORY—our legacy of hope. Contrary to what some might tell you, the United States didn’t begin in 1619, with the first importation of slaves. The United States has a specific birthdate—it began in 1776. It began when we not only declared our independence from a system that introduced slavery to the New World, but our country also began when we declared that all men and women are created equal.

From that day forward, great men and women—people like George Washington, Harriet Tubman, Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson, and Frederick Douglass—have risen up and have fought and died to ensure that this nation lives up to its founding creed.

Sidenote:  can you imagine how many copies of these paintings have been given as birthday and Christmas gifts the past few years?  I'm picturing a doublewide in Mississippi with a whole slew of these in the living room.  Took down all the school pictures of the kids to put up cheesy ass Trump lithographs of him saving democracy.

The artist knows his audience.   Nearly all of these can be had at the low, low price of $29.

I refuse to believe Jon McNaughton is real. He’s going to reveal it’s all an elaborate piece of performance art or it’s a bunch of anthropology grad students working on a project, or maybe he’s really George W. Bush clowning the current GOP.

George W. Bush isn’t that good of an artist.

it has to be this way because if they didn't make up stories and stupid shit they would have pay attention to the real world in which they live.

really makes me wonder about Jesus. I can only assume people were dumber 2000 years ago, well dumber than 2016 humans. We all like to think of Jesus as you know, Jesus, but this whole fucking episode with Trump and this BS blind faith stupidity to his devilish horrors is making wonder if Jesus was just a grifter too. A damn good one. Its a perfectly cromulent thought I think.

anyway, you homies have a good sleep is. I am rocking out my no nuke Friday, later comes the embiggenment

I gave my father a ‘I’d rather be a Russian than a Democrat’ shirt a few years ago to mock him.  He wears it frequently.  FML. 😥

This, Scientology, Mormonism, and numerous cults are modern examples we can see with our own eyes at just how religions get made and how they're full of fantastical feats and events that are all just full of shit. Why would others be different just because they were created by regular people living thousands of years before us?

Makes me wonder what people, if they still reside here, far into the future will believe. Or will they have evolved past it the way we've evolved past believing flu and colds are demonic infestations, witchcraft, or a sign of the gods being angry with us.

I’m not religious, but it’s pretty clear to me;  if the God’s exist, they are angry.

All of those paintings are stupid, but this one strikes me as particularly ridiculous:

Teach_a_Man_to_Fish_16x20_WEB__02242.152

Donald Trump has never fished in his life. Certainly not pond fishing with a tackle box. And neither has the painter. Is that a fucking saltwater rod? Are they fishing for marlin in the middle of the woods?

Or is Trump fishing for social justice warriors? And if so, is he using live bait or lures?

I am assuming the socialism book pushes the moral of this painting into the "teach a man to fish" realm.

Respect the grift. This guy made a lot of money and fame off this shit. More so than landscapes and still lifes. Missed an idea where trump is walking on water with the rest of the gop in the boat. And he calls himself a serious artist...tsk, tsk.

Trump's two biggest skills are his charisma and his ability to tell any lie at any time.
