JJR was was dropped from #178 (91) to out of the Top247 (88), in the latest 247Sports rankings update.  He dropped 40 spots in the composite.

Mama Rubell wasn't too happy.

Former #1 overall recruit, then Bama bust - back to the Hall/Billingsley lotto

Thaaaaaat's interesting. I remember reading about his issues at Bama - lots of mental health stuff, not ready to leave home, family issues, etc. By his lack of other offers, I'll assume he hasn't completely put it together, but if he can....big one.

Edit to add: More context since leaving Bama

Tucker, for one, left for the open Michigan State job, leaving Alfano without the coach he’d committed to. Then Alfano was suspended indefinitely for a violation of team rules after Karl Dorrell took over as head coach. Alfano also began to have issues with epilepsy.

While at Colorado he experienced some scary epileptic seizures that prevented him from playing. Noted Colorado coach Karl Dorrell at the time, via the Denver Post: “We don’t quite have a handle on his medical situation well enough to be released to practice and to compete right now.”

Unable to play at Colorado, Alfano left and would later wind up at Independence Community College in Kansas. He spent last spring there but is now seeking a new JUCO opportunity at Lackawanna in Scranton, Pa.

Medically cleared and working out again, can Alfano play his way back into the FBS ranks? That remains to be seen. But it certainly appears the story is not yet complete for one of the 2019 class’ top talents, with Antonio Alfano back in pursuit of his goal of playing high-level college football.

Gerry was asked if Texas will go after him, he said, “I hope not.” Telling, imo.

Sark was at Alabama the same time he was, he probably also has some context for his story. Maybe they’re just giving his recruitment a boost.
He’s as flaky as it gets, but a very talented player if he can manage being further away from home.

That guy absolutely does not. He is sick and fucking tired of losing football, shitty coaches, and moronic excuses. If Sarkisian is the guy, he needs to step up and win. If he's not, he needs to get the fuck out of the way.

He's 5-1...

Are you talking about his height?

Choking and losing to your less-talented rival you boat raced a year ago in a season you are supposed to be winning the conference is not "stepping up," no matter what excuses you accept. OU has ruined our season repeatedly since Mack Brown stepped on campus, with very few exceptions.

I must have been multitasking and misheard that then, sorry if true.

His mental health and maturity issues seem to be going great

I assume you're referring to Nahlin's mental health and maturity issues, not Alfano's.

The IT guys are probably getting tired of having egg on their faces when it comes to predicting 5 star recruitments.

They seem to be wrong way more than right on the 5 star guys. Almost like the more confident they are the more wrong they are.
