Fong now saying Texas might have made a late surge for Wingo. Viewing it as clickbait until he actually makes his commitment wherever today
Spoiler

It's decision day for St. Louis (Mo.) University five-star receiver Ryan Wingo. 247Sports' No. 2 receiver and No. 5 prospect overall will announce his plans at 5:15 pm on the 247Sports YouTube Channel.
Missouri is a program that's had a lot of buzz over the last couple weeks following visits to Columbia for the LSU and South Carolina games. Wingo also attended the Tigers win over Memphis in St. Louis.
But as the decision draws near, the buzz for Texas is picking back up.
The Longhorns were the leader in the summer following his official visit to Austin and Texas looked like the one following his return for the Wyoming game. As the decision draws near, I'm hearing a lot about Texas' position againt.
Steve Sarkisian and his staff are sitting on 247Sports No. 16 ranked recruiting class and they are in the middle of it for Wingo going into his decision today.

IT was saying the same this morning on the livestream as they ended.

Wouldn't take them not being there as a death knell. If we made a surge in the last 12 or so hours then with would be tough for IT to get somebody to Missouri last minute.

I mean doing a live stream during the announcement, not actually being there.

I suppose rather than discussing it any more or speculating either way, we could just quietly wait until he actually announces in a couple hours.

Troll confirmed.  That guy doesn't ever let the actual team slip.

Yeah, I’m sure he’d risk his position as the official edit dude by revealing the surprise to a random person just because they asked him

5M and a lambo sounds a bit outlandish. It seems like someone over there made up a number and said it, that number became fact, and then every new recruit requires a slight uptick in that original number .
These NIL deals aren’t public, have to wonder why are the numbers so public?

The guy silently committed to Texas a while ago. Do you craven cynics on this forum have no heart? This young man will simply live up to his word and make the commitment publicly this afternoon, just like all other silent commitments when they publicly announce.

after it gets circulated through Surly, yes

There aren't 1000 literate people on Surly, have you seen the football board. Mostly just a bunch of grunts and high pitched squeals

We come up with $5 mil for every five star and they can't even come up with like $90 mil to fire their coach? What are they? Poor?

Stupid sips!  Aggies pay 3 mil for every 3 star.

Mizzou will refuse to lose a kid they deem “must-win”

Wrong. It’s one of his Nahlinisms that this staff doesn’t let many “must-get” commits go elsewhere. In other words, he’s saying there’s a chance.
