Isn't this Filsaime's high school / coach?

Mike Roach slupring HS coaching cock in between slurps of peppermint flavored Holiday Frostee will never not be a tsunami of cringe. It's like he was the waterboy for his HS football team and the coaching staff violently gang raped him after a pep rally and he has fond, longing memories.

I gotta say something about this whole Applebee's thing. First off, I LOVE a dive bar. The darker, divier and sketchier, the better. My favorite thing to do on Saturdays in the fall is to visit some of the less-touristed areas of San Antonio, bar hop to a bunch of dives with my buddies and watch college football. As a bit, a few weeks ago we decided to forego our usual plan and solely hit up national chains. I visited my first Applebees ever, on 410 and Jones-Maltsberger. I was expecting some bright, sanitized, cookie cutter lame ass restaurant and I gotta tell you, it's a dark, filthy, divey shithole just like the rest of the places we usually go. Except instead of some toothless woman selling you tamales out of an ice chest, they have fucked up shit to eat like avocado eggrolls (which weren't terrible btw, but I was probably about 8 drinks deep at that point). All in all, I thought Applebees was a fantastic and I would go back there in a heartbeat.

This is a safe space here, you're in the trust tree. You can admit to us that you really liked Applebees because the decor made you feel like home.

The guy who really wants Jernigan? Saban, oddly enough.

Alabama's recruiting is interesting. As of now, Alabama has one Texas recruit:

Casey Poe 4* IOL .9593, 6 4.5 290

If I recall, Saban has been to Dangerfield, TX twice in the last few weeks to see Aeryn Hampton, the 4* CB committed to Texas. With no disrespect to Mr. Hampton, but It wasn't long ago Saban could cherry pick Texas for the Waddle's & Brockermeyer's (Fuck the Brocks) of the world.

It appears that Saban is wanting to get some more Texas kids on the roster to keep that channel open. And as a number of you have mentioned, Texas' response has been "Get the fuck out of here!"

Bobby and Gerry have touched on this before.  Typically the recruiting industry will drop Texas commits a bit due to NFL draft history.  Once we start cranking out NFL draftees, these rankings will go up a bit.

On3 tracks a "Total Drafted" metric over the last five years when comparing the schools in position to land a recruit, and places them in tiers based on that. Not hard to imagine it introducing some bias in said recruit's final ranking.

Those guys are absolutely all getting drafted (unless sanders or Mitchell pull off a shocker and come back).  There is no way Brooks isn't going- and he's getting drafted so that makes 9.  Collins makes 10.  1 of the following 3 likely gets drafted as a special teamer with a halo effect from a winning program (Robinson, Crawford, Sanborn).  Over under is 10.5. If we win it all I'd up that over under to 11.5.

The only knock they will be able to say is not enough first rounders.  Quinn and Banks going top 5 next year would pretty much put that to rest.

You think Alfred Collin’s is getting drafted, and 1 of 3 out of a punter, a 4th string RB, or Kitan Fuckin I can’t cover my ass with both hands Crawford?

I had a similar reaction to that post.

fwiw, I have Collins not declaing and returning, Robinson going undrafted with Whittington and maybe ending up on a practice squad, and Crawford sitting at home replaying his interception in the Big 12 title game to anyone who will look at it for the rest of his life.

Bobby Burton stated Collins isn't coming back on On Texas Football a few days ago in response to a question. Be interesting to see if Collins changes his mind, but Bobby seemed adamant that Collins was ready to move on. Seems like Sweat should be a case study for what's possible if he really puts his nose to the grindstone though.

Didn't Colt state to Bobby and Gerry recently that he thought both Robinson and Crawford would be late round draft picks based on their particular "boutique" talents which NFL teams find very desirable to have on their roster?

I noticed a lot of talents similar to Crawford's on display last night for the Chargers.

I remember Colt being interviewed but not that particular discussion, but yes, Gerry (especially) has been pumping the notion Crawford and Keilan could have an NFL future as special team specialists, with #21 mentioned the most. Whether they get shot as draft picks or FAs is the question.

What’s cool is veterans like Keilan and Roschon before him setting the example of how it’s smart to be on special teams, so kids like McDonald and Wisner are embracing it, and keeping engaged.

You think Collins isn’t getting drafted?  Seriously?  I mean, that is insanely dumb.
and yeah- I think 1 of those 3 gets drafted. Not as a 4th string running back or a shitty safety but as special teams players in the 7th round. I think it’s likely someone takes a liking to them and decides to grab one of them at the end of the draft. Maybe not. But you are a paint chip eating moron if you think Collins isn’t getting drafted. So- like I said- 10.5 over under (if Jt, Worthy, AD, Murphy) all come out like everyone says.

Still likely to be able to pick up both as UDFA. Maybe a 7th round selection if the pro day numbers impress.

Saltgrass isn't terrible. You aren't going there to get 5 star food.

I'll die on this hill.

I stayed at the Best Western Plus in College Station when my dog was having surgery at the vet school. There was a Saltgrass next door, and a coworker gave me a $200 gift card, knowing it was next door. I spent $20 on a chicken fried steak that wasn't terrible and the other $180 on alcohol. There was an HEB across the road and I just got the rest of my food from there.

Collins is a big body with good athleticism, who also happens to not be a very good player right now. He definitely has the measurables to be good, but he currently looks like Tarzan and plays like Jane. He needs to come back to school next year and dedicate himself if he intends to be a professional football player.

I am not knocking Kitan or Robinson, but there are better players who also can/do play special teams. Draftin Robinson to play punt block or Crawford to be a gunner is a waste of a draft pick.
