My across the street neighbor started mowing his yard at 7:10 this morning.  On a Saturday.  Then at 7:45 he commenced with weed-eating/edging.   Talk about burning you up a bit.

Wake your ass up.

Next Saturday start yours at 5:30. Maybe he’ll get the hint.

Not  if you're a rude jack ass, no not at all.

I don't get this. It's 7AM. You're awake. Why should people have to be quiet? Before 7 and after 9 restrict your activities. Otherwise, do you.

Fuck off, all of you. Did you never in your life party late on a Friday night and want to sleep in on Saturday morning? Don't shoot off fireworks past 11 pm. Don't mow your lawn before 9 am.

Quiet time on a weekend morning is quality time to be enjoyed before 9:00.  A cup of coffee, and chirping birds or cicadas is a nice thing and shouldn't be intruded on by lawn mowers that early .  It's a courtesy to your neighbors. It's golden rule 101 stuff.

The fuck kind of badge of honor is it to wake up early on a Saturday? I’m up at 6 weekdays. As long as my kids let me I’m sleeping as late into Saturday as I can, especially if I had some booze and stayed up late on Friday.

Does that complete your rant for today, sir?

I know what I want when I order this is what pisses me off.

“Could I please get a number 6 m....”
Immediately “Small medium or large”
“Medium with unsweet tea”
“What to drink?”

"I'll have a Jalepeno & Cheese Wataburger"

"Okay, #5 combo...what do you want for the drink?"

"Nothing to drink.  I just want the sandwich and a medium order of fries."

"So the combo, then?"

The opposite can be equally frustrating.

Does it bother you because you are still sleeping? Or just because you want some quiet to start off your weekend?  Because the grown ups are all up by 7 AM.
Who the fuck wakes up at 7am on a weekend unless you have to?

Can I get a What-a-burger with cheese?
Do you want the meal or just the sandwich?
If I wanted the meal I would have ordered a #1 w/ cheese.
The fucking worst. That's why I always make it a point to say "sandwich only" after telling them. If you don't, they either ask or assume you want the combo and ring it up as such.

Why don't you just order it and say no drink?

What's the price difference between the combo and the sandwich/fries by themselves? 10-30 cents? Some places will then ring it up individually.  Otherwise, too much risk they'll screw it up if you order individual components.

I've seen a few places...(can't remember where)...that would discount the combo price by 30 cents or so if you ordered no drink.  I don't usually order fast food drinks anyhow - I don't need a damn liter of soda.

First of all, it's pronounced "liter-a-cola", not "liter-a-soda."  Secondly, ordering a combo and then saying, "Psych...not really a combo...just the burger and fries" seems like it's opening one up to far more order confusion than just asking for the burger and fries.  Yes, the price difference is nominal but I don't want to spend the extra $.50 for a cup of shit I don't need, the straw, and all the other trash that comes with it.  I pull up and order a what-a-burger and fries, give me the fucking sandwich and fries.  Soda is for children and women with cats.

Hey man I'm fine with early risers on the weekends but if you're mowing your lawn at 7 am I'm not turning my music/TV down for you at 9 pm.

Wait til you get close to 40.  You wake up 3 minutes before your alarm goes off and can’t go back to sleep.

You turn your your alarm off and you wake up at the same time regardless.

For real.  Instead of fighting it, I have just come to appreciate the fact that by the time most people are getting their Saturdays and Sundays started, I’ve already had breakfast, read the paper, walked the dog, and gotten up from a nap.

I wish I was exaggerating, but I’m not.  Ha.

Have we talked about the Spectrum salespeople in HEB stores yet?

These mf'ers are the same obnoxious jerkoffs that would follow you around Circuit City back in its heyday. Walk in the door "hey man, who do you use for cable TV?". Fuck you, that's who.

As someone who hates just about all corporations, HEB is one of the few companies that I actually feel some brand loyalty for, as I see them as pretty good corporate stewards and Texans. But for fuck's sake, what gave them the idea that allowing a bunch of mirrored-Oakley wearing douchebags to accost their customers immediately as they walk in the door is okay? Especially a company that's the opposite of HEB in that it's a completely predatory piece of shit that hates its customers. And this has been going on for over a year.

Not much actually makes me angry in the course of my day, but fuck, does that ever. Everyone's complaining about the homeless stuff going on here but the Spectrum chumps are the real scourge on Austin. If I were in a room with a gun and two bullets, with a guy from the Vegas strip who slaps escort service promotional cards right in front of your face, a guy who reclines his airplane seat for a 45 minute flight, and one of those Spectrum fuckers, I'd shoot the Spectrum rep twice and pistol whip him a few times just to make sure.

Maybe they're trying to get everyone to go to curbside and delivery options. Either way, fuck those fuckers.

Just wait until you start waking up at the same time in the middle of the night needing to pee, and then wake up five minutes before your alarm every morning.

Grown ups know better than running loud equipment at 7:00 am on a weekend.

Yep.  I never sleep past 5am, even on weekends.  So, early yard work isn't going to wake me up.  But I like sitting on my back porch to drink coffee and start my day in some semblance of peace.

There should be understood quiet times on weekends and anything before 8am should be done w/out bothering anyone.

No mosquitos in my southern Lufkin neighborhood. Spent most of Friday night nude tending the smoker on the back porch.  Confidence pays off!

I don't know. Weekdays are one thing but weekends are another. I do wake up earlier than I used to on weekends but 7am seems too early unless i work weekends or have to be somewhere.

I will agree that lawnmower sounds don't bother me as much as the annoying as all get out blowers. Just the on and off high pitch whining sound.
