I'll do you one better than that.  I worked for a Palo Alto based software company for a few years where no one had and office or cubical.  It was tables laid out in rows with monitors on them.  This was everyone from the CEO on down.  Zero partitions.  There were multiple meeting rooms and conference rooms but no offices.  Weird as shit.
As a remote employee, I didn't care but I know most of the folks who worked there on a daily basis hated it.

That is what I am talking about. Side by side, no partitions. It was so fucking stupid.

People too easily impressed by the bigness of Texas or Houston or whatever other jurisdiction. I don't give a shit if you can fit Luxembourg plus Andorra, Liechtenstein, and Monaco inside the Grand Parkway and still have room for two San Marinos. And I am not impressed when it's 49 degrees in Dumas and 99 in Brownsville. Longitudinally speaking that tends to be how weather works. Sometimes it's cold in Nashville and hot in Miami, and the fact that they are in different states is not interesting. And after 51 years of hearing about, even as a native, I am very tired of hearing about how big Texas is.

did you know that Texas is bigger than France?

Out of curiousity, what does something like that cost?  ^^^

$7?  $9?

after some kind of economic windfall, I'd like to pull a Larry David after Shaq forgives him and order something really fancy at starbuck's.  But for 20 years, it's been a medium black coffee.  I think if I knew how to order something flavorful and fancy, I'd do it.

On a rare occasion I’ll hit starbucks for a latte. Comes with 2 shots of espresso, I have them add 8 more. That’s like $14, give or take. Can’t imagine what some bullshit like that would cost.

Ten shots of espresso? Dude that's not healthy.

I wonder how many iterations it took to find that “perfect” drink for Mo? With 20 to 30 different ingredients how do you know if 3 pumps of vanilla is better than 2 or 4? Maybe having 6 pumps of vanilla may have taken this drink off the charts?!

Just give me a regular coffee with a bit of milk and sugar to cut the bitterness.

anybody who calls for a meeting before 10am and after 4pm

Before 10am not a problem.  After 4pm begins to be an issue.  However, I deal with a lot of international folks so I am always on Team calls at odd hours.

Not about the Seattle team this time. But fuck 'em anyway.

So I just spoke to the coworker who's leaving for the competitor. He's getting a 35% pay bump, and will likely get a better retirement and bonus package.

I just asked him (really not really) if he can put in a good word for me.

I do too. I don't think it's that great, but it's consistent. My go order :

1)QT

2)RaceTrac

3)7-11

4) Starbucks.

I used to do McDonalds alot, but I think about 2 years ago they changed something. Because it now tastes pretty watered down.

Don't much care for Starbucks but will sip on a cup from there when the wife is next door shopping, otherwise, I'm just as good with McDs, Dunkin or a cup from a convenience store.

PS - Why the fuck do I have trouble spelling convenience & restaurant any more without the aid of spell checker?!

looking at car ads online and most of the pictures are for ants.  click to zoom! still smaller than a stamp.  wtf?  everyone is carrying a 100 megapixel camera in their pocket and the photos of this thing you're trying to sell are 320x240.

This is true.
Separate. Apparent. Bureaucrat. Foreign. Hors d’oeuvres. Occurrence. Plagiarize.
And of course aggy.

Well, it is tricky to rock a rhyme that rhymes on time. Or so I’ve heard.

Pre fixe menus at nice restaurants for holidays. I didn’t deal with it today for Mother’s Day, but have had my fair share of bullshit pre fixe experiences on NYE, Valentine’s Day, etc..  $50, $75, $125 type meals for limited offerings and conveyor belt pork chops.
I want to know what was on the menu for mothers day for $125.
