Of course it got down into the single digits last night so the system is all frozen so they are having to pump manually.

All of the married guys in here are familiar with having to pump manually.

My kids troll me regularly - "Hey dad, do you want to great song?", followed by Never Gonna Give You Up, or Money (worst Pink Floyd song EVAR).

Anyway, All I Want for Christmas is also on the list of songs I don't want to hear. So what does my daughter do?

She asks her piano for the sheet music to All I Want for Christmas, and will play it over and over aad over gain, and I can't stop her because I also want her to get better at piano.

Yeah, so that's what I have to deal with at home.

Let me help you with a new theme song:

I have to clarify that I have family members who work in insurance, so I start with a distrust of podiatrist.

I had a pain in my foot, like I was constantly stepping on a sharp rock. My regular doc referred my to a podiatrist. I'll admit I went in with a chip in my shoulder because I heard horror stories about how they add a ton of extra procedures to pad the bill. I had to wait almost 2 1/2 hours before I saw the doctor. I was going to leave but they kept moving to different rooms. promising he'll be right here.  First thing they did was take x-rays of both feet. When I said I only have pain in one, they said I have to do two because the Dr wants a base for future treatment.

When I finally saw the doctor, he commented on some type of skin irritation that needed to be treated. He called his assistant and made of big production of her verifying it was present.

He finally dug around and found a sub-callous that was causing the problem and removed it. Then he said I need to come back for custom inserts (which I know insurance will not cover). I felt like I was at a used car dealership trying to sell me pinstriping, undercoating and Scotchgard. I went in for one simple procedure and came out with 2 extra, unnecessary ones, plus one future expensive one. I'm not going back. Crap like this makes me very surly.

Gonna have to disagree with you on chiropractors.

I have a guy who works on my back and I fee like a new person every time I leave his clinic.

I went to see another guy who just focuses on the C1 to C5 vertebrae. I've been waking up with pain in my neck, right shoulder and elbow. Went in for an adjustment over the weekend, so I'm no longer in pain in the mornings.

Chiropractic treatment IMO is not quackery.

The score ticker under live sporting events is outdated and an eyesore.

Everyone has access to scores on their phones. It takes up screen real estate and spoils scores of games you have saved to watch.

It had it’s time but it is time to take it out to the barn and put it down

Especially because during CBB season the ticker doesn’t distinguish between MBB and WBB. Just scores.

But how else would you even SEE the score between Division 6 powerhouses East Dingleberry State Automotive Repair College and St. Pelicopsius Divinity School?

I have a company vehicle that’s managed by Element. They are the fucking worst.

Take it in for a 60,000 service and they approved an oil change.

Changed brake pads and turned the rotors but wouldn’t pay to flush the brake lines.

New tires but wouldn’t approve an alignment.

They are cheapskates, and the car probably won’t last until 150,000 miles, which is how much I need to drive before getting my next vehicle.

The service advisor hates them with the passion of a million suns and I don’t blame him.

Guess it depends who you go to. My wife had a good looking friend who went to a chiropractor in the mid 80's complaining of a sore back and headaches. He told her that her uterus was misplaced and needed to be repositioned. She decided to leave before he tried it.

When necessary, I put small Post-It Notes on the TV over the location where the scores are listed.

I have two pieces of paper taped and folded that fit exactly along the bottom of the screen that perfectly blocks all that crap ESPN runs underneath the game, but still allows me to see the score, time, timeouts, down and yardage to go of that game that I'm actually watching.

Said it before, and I'll say it again: Fuck ESPN in their goatass.

"Little Drummer Boy" makes me surly.  If a stupid drummer came up to our house on the night that our baby was born, he'd get a load of 12-gauge birdshot in his drumming ass.  By far the stupidest Christmas song.  Makes me surly as soon as it comes on.

The version that David Bowie and Bing Crosby did in the 70's on Crosby's Christmas special is great.

I made the mistake of going to a Target this afternoon as a favor to the wife.

Chaos.

And apparently the olds are out for the first time since Covid and/or 1958. They don't know that gift cards are always at the front registers, and so no, ma'am, your husband doesn't have to leave the line to wander off and look for them just as the cashier is ready to ring up the goods. "Jim. Jim! JIM! THEY HAVE SOME UP HERE!"

I would've used self-checkout, but that line ended somewhere by the North Pole.

Hallelujah, holy shit. Where's the Tylenol?

RIP Zakir Hussain. The baby Jesus should’ve been so lucky. Pa rum pum pum my ass.

Mr. Beast

I have no clue how he gets the amount of money he does but the game show on Amazon is pretty cool.  (Minus half the eliminations having to do with nothing you can control?  Total bullshit).  But giving away IDK probably 10 million total before this show ends to people is entertaining. It’s also a great study in sociology. I want a follow up show that follows what all winners over like 20k do with the money.  There’s going to be some amazingly bad choices made.
