Rubber car floor mats.  From time to time I wear nice pants and nice shoes.  When I get in a car I dont want to rub my gear on some shitty rubber floor mat like I’m working in the kitchen at Cisco’s.

Yes, I understand that some people work in the mud or have work trucks.  Good for you.  I’m talking about a nice car/truck or daily driver - get some nice carpet like a civilized human.

Tell me you don't have young kids...  I've got rugged floor mats in the truck AND in the wife's SUV, and no looking back!  Kids will find a way to tear up seats and carpets, but at least the mats keep things in decent shape.

Strongly disagree.  My kids have done their share of damage, including barfing partially chewed rice all over the backseat of a new vehicle, but I can't think of a time when my kids have done permanent damage to a carpet floor mat.  Those things are made of rubber and synthetic carpet.

Live a little - that car you're protecting probably won't end up at the Mecum auction with the Aston Martins.

So glad I got to see Junior Brown at the Continental Club many many years ago.

Is Junior Brown and the Continental Club still around?

And in the spirit of the thread, I loathe anyone who says “Where ya at.”

Continental Club is in both Houston and Austin.  Junior B is still making music. I got my first JB exposure at ShinerBock fest way back when.  In fact, Tino and the Tarantulas played also that day.

Not changing seats with someone so that they can sit next to their family,

especially if you’re going to get to move up a few rows

I prefer the window to the aisle, but I will absolutely trade my window for your aisle to help accommodate.

Anyone who asks a stranger to trade their aisle or window for a middle can get fucked.

I’d never do the latter and won’t ever ask anyone to move back.

If someone offered to trade seats with me so I could sit with my kids, I'd tell them, "No thanks, I don't want to sit next to them.  Hope you have a pleasant flight."

A few years ago my wife and I were on a Southwest fight that was full. I had the isle seat and she was next to me. A young couple came up and had to split up, the guy sat in the seat in front of me and his wife at the window seat next to my wife. She said they were returning from their honeymoon. We offered to switch seats so they could set next to each other. She said. "No thanks, we're good".

Unless i have a tight connection, I really DGAF about front/ back. If I have an aisle seat, I'll trade for another aisle seat.  I'm not switching to a middle or window seat though.  I'm also a bigger guy, but not where I need 1/4 of the adjacent seat.  That's a significant reason for my choice of a aisle seat:  My comfort, but also that of other passengers.

Mrs. Brat, who like to get to special church events early, is not giving up her aisle seat to the late assholes who show up after the wedding, confirmation, first communion, etc. has already started.
She just turns to the side and lets the tardy turd stumble over the kneeler to sit further in the pews.

For those who think not returning you shopping carts or having 18 items in the 15 item express lane. I have new one.

Got a gift certificate to Main Event. Took the 11 yo for some just Dad and Son time. Got there right when they opened, so playing  billiards while waiting for the Laser Tag to get going. Not a single table being used. No one at all sitting in the billiard's area. A couple, I guess waiting on someone, decided the table top right behind our table (the one that is probably for this particular billiards table) is the perfect place to sit.

My son almost backstrokes into them like three times, and he politely asked them to move a little bit so he could shoot.

Finally, after about 10 minutes of this. I walked over and said "y'all guys maybe want to move to any of the 500 free tables so my 11 year don't crush you face with a cue stick?

Morons.

For whatever it's worth, they both look like they're wishing for death.

SIAP, but watching a video in another thread just reminded me:

The horrible AI narration that is on seemingly 50% of internet videos now.

Video of cute puppy getting rescued off the side of the road somewhere in Asia:

AI Narrator: "Observe the heartwarming moment the man notices the helpless dog on the side of the thoroughfare. On his way from his employment, he sees the small dog yelping in discomfort. The puppy shakes, wishing for its mother. The man does not intend to bring home another mascot, but then his heart decides he cannot abandon the dog. He takes it home and it with haste becomes a partner of the family group."
