See also: More fucked up math on TV ad last night for local car dealer:

4.9% financing, which in and of itself hurt my head; but then they throw 84 months out there like it's a feature, not a rip-off.

I guess the poker adage applies here, "It's immoral to let a sucker keep his money."

Duh! You can't buy an $80,000 Tahoe for less than $1000 month without 84 month financing!

Yeah. No.

I took the kids to Yogurtland and their machine asked if I wanted to give them a 20% tip.

During Covid, they at least put on the toppings for you. Why do I owe you a tip if all you’re doing is weigh my bowl?

So M$ will be sending out refunds? Minor I know, but why? And yes, I do occasionally use skype and publisher. Publisher mainly to read old files I still have.

  • Beginning March 03, 2026, you will no longer have access to 60 minutes of monthly Skype calls to mobile phones and landlines. Learn more in these Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ).

  • Beginning October 01, 2026, Microsoft Publisher will no longer be supported as part of Microsoft 365. Many common Publisher scenarios are available in other Microsoft 365 apps, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Designer.

Action Recommended: Before October 01, 2026, convert your existing Publisher files to PDF or Word format. After this date, you will no longer be able to open or edit these files with Microsoft Publisher.

I've long advocated that litterbugs should be shot.

Drove by a Starbucks cup standing perfectly right side up on the 1 foot wide shoulder alongside the dividing wall of I-45 this morning. Someone stuck in traffic had to have opened their door and deliberately placed it for it to be standing like that.

Cops shouldn't be summarily executing citizens but I think I'd make an exception for that asshole.

Tell MS and IRS "back up in your ass with the resurrection."

Litter. We discussed earlier. Went to a ford dealer in san antonio. Wife wanted to test drive a maverick.

5-6 dudes sitting like vultures out front of the building. Salesmen.

Litter all over the place. Wrappers, water bottles, rubber bands, you name it. Pissed me off.

Hey, let's pretend we're in the Eastern Time zone for the next 8 months.

(Austin pretends it's in the Central Time zone for the other 4)

I identified with this meme for a long time, until one day it dawned on me the plastic spacer thing is meant to go on bottom.

Once you realize that, hit rate goes up to 90%

I really miss living next to a major airport hub.

From my current residence, anywhere we need to fly are all best served by a hodgepodge of nickel- and diming- discount carriers. For leisure, for work, short haul, medium haul, doesnt matter.

No full-service legacy/flagship carriers unless flying long-haul, and thats with a minimum of 1 stop for basically anywhere.

All commercials is a bridge too far.  Sometimes a good commercial will give you more entertainment than the show it is surrounded by.

See: every superbowl with Mahomes / Chiefs playing.

There's this really high ranking technical guy in the company who's got a SEVERE stutter--both dragggggggggggging words and rererepeating words.  And the company keeps dragging him out to give speeches and talks to big audiences. And nobody can understand a goddamn thing he says.

I'm very sympathetic to people with different accents and language abilities, but I don't understand either. It's painful for everyone to stare at him blankly for 40 minutes, unable to process anything.

Sure man, the guy might be an absolute genius with a thousand patents and great technical advice, but what is the point in making people sit through this stuff? By the way, he's not a 30 year old, he's senior aged, so it's not like they're doing this as a form of exposure therapy to reform his speech; all of this has to be voluntary from him.  But goddamn why?

My immediate team of 11 people represents 10 nationalities, only 1 of whom is a native English speaker (not I!). We communicate in English though, and I don't begrudge anyone for not speaking it perfectly. I just don't see the point of guy doing all of the talking when he's understood by perhaps 5% of the audience.

In the office this morning and had to take a shit. I go to the bathroom and it's empty, I go to the handicapped stall, as the regular one it ridiculously tiny. A guy comes in and crashed into the stall door, didn't bother to do the gentle push to see if it was locked. Just barreled into it like scooby doo. He had to take the walk of shame into the tiny stall.
