It makes me surly when buy I buy a new sportcoat or suit online and the pockets come all stitched up. I'll forget this shit and only find out when I'm late for a wedding and I don't have the time or tailoring tools to fuck with this shit. Just deliver the goddamn coat with the pockets already opened.

Got home this morning and couldn't open the back door from the garage. Thought I locked myself out and didn't have a key. I never lock that door. Went around and got in the front door, walked to the back door and couldn't open it from the inside. WTF? Wound up taking it apart and the f'n thing had literally imploded. Little chunks of metal falling out when I pulled the knob off. Wound up having to use a small chisel to break out a large chunk that was preventing the latch from moving. It was never hard to turn before,  just up and died like the Bluesmobile.

But then how would you be able to return it after wearing it on your date?

The use of "Hey" as a greeting in business communications when you don't really know the other person. It's fine when you already have a friendly relationship but not as an opener or when you have no relationship.

Now get off my lawn.

If you run a business, or are responsible for running a specific part of it, sit the fuck down at a computer and reply to emails.  Your tiny snippets of info coming from a phone, or screenshots w/ chickenscratch on them, or 5 replies to the same email w/ different sections answered with no reference point whatsoever, ain't fuckin' cutting it.

I reply to the ones that I think are important.

New truck has some rattles in the door and dash areas, this is the second trip into the shop to fix it. The first time it was a loose speaker and some disconnected wires. Got a message from the service advisor telling me the service manager would like me to come in and go for a drive, as there are several rattles and they would like to know which one I’m concerned about. I told them no thank you please just fix them all! I understand a Chevy pickup isn’t a Mercedes, but I’d just as soon my new ride doesn’t rattle like it has 200k miles on it before the 4th payment is due. They already think I’m a problem customer because I don’t understand why I have to wait 2 1/2 weeks for a service appointment and when I drop it off they tell me they’re busy and it will probably be close to a week before they can get to it, and they’re all out of loaners. So I tell them I understand, but if they can just call me the day they’re actually going to work on it I’ll drop it off then, and they tell me that won’t work for some unexplained reason, but they can reschedule the appointment. Then they say their next available is 2 weeks out and they can’t guarantee it will be worked on the day I bring it in then either, as they’ll still be busy and it will still take 3-5 days before they can look at it then as well and probably still won’t have an available loaner. Rant not ended, just paused.

Took my daughter's car in to get the A/C fixed, it took 3-4 days before they got to it. They called and said it was done, she picked it up and went to work that night. She called about 30 mins later to tell me it quit working again. I call the dealer in the morning and he says they can't get to it for a week, I said you told me it was fixed and took my money, you should prioritize my fucking car. They claimed that was just impossible. I never did business with them again.

Turned out to be kinda trivial, but wasn't in the moment.

Y'all know I sell music instruments and stuff to schools. I typically go to anywhere from 10-15 schools on any given day. Today I had a meeting with the orchestra directors from a middle school I'm going to be picking up business with.

They ran my ID (usually this takes about a minute and they print off a badge for me and I go down to the band/orchestra room). Instead, I got spend 15 minutes in a conference room with two police officers. Turns out there is a certain person living in this district who A)Is definitely not me, but looks close enough on the DL. and B) Is definitely not allowed within 500 feet of a school

How are you going to sell instruments from 500 feet away?

With as badly as jr high kids play instruments that's probably where the principal wants them.

You presumably have the upper hand in that you probably found out about him before he finds out about you, but once he does, I'm pretty sure he's going to try to kill you and take over your identity.

So just to be safe, you should find and kill him first.
