2) The krauts accept that he isn’t a defender and develop him as a full time speedy winger in the Arjen Robben mold of Dutch wingers playing in Oktoberfestland.

This.

Davies and Dest has got to be one of the quickest FB pairings on any team out there, if it happens. And they naturally play opposite of each other. They also naturally suck at the whole defense side of being a FB but Bayern grow world class CBs like weeds so this all probably works perfect for them.

I'm kind of excited to see this happen.

Bayern isn't after him to play defense.

Davies is literally the Canadian flash

Is that euros or dollars? Because if it’s Euros, then in Ameros it’s $11.3 Million.

FC Dallas will spend it on the chiefs and sign an old 3rd division player from South America probably. Hopefully the Hubts don't completely fuck this up.

Yeah… the Chiefs don’t have enough money coming in to cover their expenses. 🙄

The MLS was partially funded by The Chiefs for a number of years, unhappiness with the W/L records of FC Dallas over the last half decade is no reason to get whiny about The Chiefs.

FC Dallas is probably being run to turn a profit rather than a deficit in order to definitely compete for hardware.

Dallas has had Designated Players over the years that either sucked or were decent, but never great Designated Players. This led to the team underperforming and the ownership deciding to go ahead and make a profit if they were going to suck anyway. This has nothing to do with The Chiefs.

What would be nice is for their Designated Player scouting to get better and then bring in a few more 20-somethings of decent skill and sell their starlets from the USL team so that we don’t have to rue the selling of main cogs in the FC Dallas wheel just as they are starting to blossom.

Wow the chiefs thing was a joke.

From the ESPN transfer blog:

Quote

20.24 GMT: Tom Bogert of MLSsoccer.com writes that Philadelphia Union attacker Paxten Aaronson is attracting interest from Europe, with both RB Leipzig and FC Salzburg tracking him. The 18-year-old scored three times in 16 appearances in his first season in MLS, following in the footsteps of brother Brenden Aaronson, the United States international whose scintillating form with Salzburg has seen him linked with Leipzig, AC Milan and Leeds United.

Quote

19.51 GMT: Sergino Dest could be set for a switch to the Premier League, with Chelsea interested in securing the United States international's signature, according to Fabrizio Romano.

As reported earlier in the day, Thomas Tuchel's side are assessing a number of options to replace Ben Chilwell, who will miss the remainder of the season with a knee injury. While the Blues have been reported to be in "pole position" to sign Lucas Digne on loan from Everton, there are still a number of names under consideration to share the left wing-back role with Marcos Alonso: Emerson Palmieri, Ian Maatsen (both of whom are on loan from Chelsea) and Ajax's Nicolas Tagliafico. However, the 21-year-old Barcelona full-back (who's played on the right flank for much of his career, but has deputised on the left at Camp Nou) is said to be high up the list of desirable additions.

Quote

17.06 GMT: VfL Wolfsburg are leading the charge in the race to bring Ricardo Pepi to Europe, with Fabrizio Romano reporting that the Bundesliga club are locked in negotiations with FC Dallas, although a deal is considered a work in progress at this stage. The 18-year-old United States striker has been on the radar of a number of continental clubs in recent months and is expected to leave in January after contributing to 15 goals in 24 starts for the MLS side.

Love seeing guys step up a level, but I just don’t think Bello is that great.

Keep in mind he's only 19 (turns 20 in late January). He's not going to be the next Jordi Alba, but I think his ceiling is starting fullback for some Euro club and a valuable second option at left back for the USMNT.

I’d rather see Bello go to Spain 🇪🇸 and learn to play with and without the ball.

Jonathan Gómez is going to pass him by May, but Gómez hasn’t definitively chose to play for the Red, White, & Blue over the Red, White, & Green yet.

Y'all some fass mawfuckas. Just saw this on ESPN.com ... but knew it'd already be posted here.

Augsburg is unknown to me. Took a gander at their roster and still just as ignorant. I see they are near bottom of the table and that's it (not necessarily a bad thing, imo).

So could any of you Bundesliga buffs kindly break it down for us? How likely is Pepi to get significant minutes, or even start?

They ain't gonna shell out $20M-plus to sit him, right? Riiiiiiiiiight?
