My working title to the next book in That series is “Why a stupid, gun-toting whore needs a non-pedophile husband and less elected power.”

we’re still workshopping it.

See now that is a succinct description of Boebert's existence and approach to life.

"Why overthink it, when you can just not think at all."

What I wouldn't give to watch her slowly implode as you tried to explain even the most basic of scientific concepts to her.

Hand jobs and government and you can too!

Maybe like a teen choose your own adventure.

If you want to work as an escort for a bit turn to page 31.

To give handjob at family venue turn to page 62.

Change districts, turn to page 74.,

Acknowledge your trashiness and interrupt the State of the Union turn 14.

It's like Colorado has their own version of Jonathan Swan.  I like this guy, a lot.  Doesn't get angry, or thrown off his game, doesn't get rude, etc.  I bet dollars to donuts, he's got Walter Cronkite DNA in his family tree somewhere way back when.  Aside from her usual dumbassery, Lauren's new eyebrows are hilarious.  She deflects straight outta the GOP playbook.  Laughable, but she sticks to her talking points and does what they do---attack the person 'just asking questions.'  But you have to admit, even for Boebert, to claim at the 1:10 mark, "Releasing footage of what was a very private moment."

It's a 10,000 seat venue, Lauren.  That's not private.  Just like a guy whipping his dick out in a bowling alley filled with hundreds of children isn't a "very private moment."  I feel like Uncle Jeff in "VEEP" yelling at Jonah who thinks he's having a private moment, "This is an elementary school, you fucking animal!"

Lulz. Very private moment. This term has staying power.

Another very private moment from the way back machine.

Well, if you're out in nature, even if there's lots of people around---it's "au natural."  I think we've all had camping sex at some point, with people not too far away.  But it's part of our DNA.  E-vaping and giving out handies while he plays with your fake tits at a musical in front of 10,000 people and CCTV......that ain't a private moment.  It is impossible somebody this stupid got elected to federal office.  What's more...she's not even the stupidest member.

I bet that guy probably spent thousands of dollars on those internet services that are supposed to remove embarrassing stuff from the internet, and probably contacted hundreds of websites over 4-5 months trying to get that removed, and he probably even went so far as to setup a fake law firm website so I could email them from the fake law firm domain and threaten them with lawsuits, and while some removed them, others didn’t even respond or pushed some bullshit about free speech or something,

Alternative version:

At every party or social event, that guy finds a way to ask "so...have you seen the video of me getting a handy on the mountain outside the Sun Bowl?  It was awesome....you should check it out.  Here, let me pull it up for you...."

At some point, normal people have to see shit like this and say you're just a fucking racist. So KJP has no qualifications at all, didn't put in any time anywhere of note, and just got the job because she's black, a woman, and/or LGBT?

Few years ago at Thanksgiving, my cousin has FoxNews on (as per usual).  And my mom and sister are visiting from Chicago.  My sister is fairly high-functioning person with Down's Syndrome, she was probably top quartile for much of her life.  But in her mid 50's, she's likely just above the median, second quartile.  But doing okay and I thank the Lord for that.  And outta the blue, she asks if remember her high school graduation?  She was always very proud of not getting one of those Adult Transition Services certificates (NTTAWWT), but actually walked the stage.  Now it took her six years, and we're not naive---they watered it down a lot for her.  But only part of her Special Needs class got diplomas, most of them just got these "certificates of completion."  She had to do basic multiplication, division, reading comprehension, etc.  Probably better than the bottom 5-10% of the "regular kids."  As she's waxing nostalgic about her graduation and party, Boebert comes on to talk some shit on Biden.  And I'm laughing, my extra-chromosome sister beat Boebert to a high school diploma by 14 years.

And my cousin's daughter, who like me, does not bring up politics in front of her parents because it never goes well.  She comes in with her laptop and says, "I found that Chicago Thanksgiving movie you're always talking about" (Planes, Trains, Automobiles).  She's tech savvy so I'm sure she found some pirate version of it, and she opens it up and it's the scene with the redneck dude making the pregnant wife get out of the shitty pickup truck.  And I'm listening to my sister, and to Boebert, and literally a scene about a woman who may give birth at any minute in the front of a pickup truck.

Later that night, my mom tamped down a cowlick in my hair, which is getting grayer by the day.  And she reminded me that my late father looked so much like Steve Martin, especially the hair and dry mannerisms.  And my sister chimes in with her version of "two wild and crazy guys!"  And for a moment, I saw straight into the heart of humanity.  Then I went back to the living room for dessert and they had turned it back on FoxNews during whatever halftime football it was.  And I thought, "Moment's over.  We're fucked."  /csb

Does DEI mean Democrat Equity and Inclusion?  Because I haven't heard them refer to Clarence Thomas, Tim Scott, Byron Daniels, etc as DEI.

DEI and CRT are the evil buzzwords that chris rufo brought to the republican vernacular in order to marshall conservates against culture war enemies. Thomas, Scott, Byron, Daniels, etc al aren't their enemy - it's anyone who advances progressive ideals and equality.

So by your framing yeah, "DEI" is exclusively a """democrat""" mechanism

you're not thinking deviously enough. DEI and CRT are used in place of way worse words. Replace "DEI" above in the tweet about Kamala with any racist moniker of your choice and you'll see what they really mean.  They're cowards who use code words so they can hide behind them

Normal people aren’t really that tuned in.  They are busy raising a family, working and otherwise are busy getting by.  They are disgusted by politics and mostly tune it out.  Unless there is a debate or something.

No kidding, Clarence Thomas is the OG of DEI.  Talk about someone who only got the job because of the color of his skin.  Dumbass didn't even talk for like 10 years and now we find out he's the king of the grifters.

Shes definitely as dumb as a bag of hammers. And I don't think that hammers would find that insulting,  given that they (the hammers, Lauren, if you're reading this) are much more useful

Even political dorks like us know that a House Member can't be up to speed on every detail of a bill or a regulation or a ruling.  Granted, it's gets more granular at the committee hearing level as opposed to the full Floor.  And it's a constant rush for staffers to put together briefs for those hearings, in addition to the executive briefings they get from the Committee's overall staff and their party's committee leadership office.  But it's just the abject arrogance and doubling-down of stupid with Boebert.  I mean, yeah, hit your talking points to curry favor.  But at some point in your career, just learn to say "Well, I don't agree.  Let's have our offices follow up with one another next week."  That was the way this shit went for 150 years.  Take Michael McCaul of Texas.  You may not like his politics, but man takes his time to get up to speed on committee topics, asks good questions, listens, and if gets out of his element---he simply requests more information down the road and yields back.

I mean at some point, with all due respect to their research...we are going to have to seriously consider changing the name of the Dunning-Krueger Effect to the Boebert-Greene Effect.  There are 535 members of Congress.  Of course they can't all know about every topic.  And of course, just like society-at-large, there's gonna be plenty of stupid ones.  But it's the brazen cockiness that some of these dipshits speak to real experts with is astounding.

If I find myself arguing with someone and I'm either obviously losing or at the very least I'm up against someone with more knowledge on the subject, I stop fighting.  Doing so with a little grace might be tricky, but this chick is so dim she has no idea she's getting verbally throttled.

This is today’s GOP.  She is who Republican politicians cater to.  This is who they think Republican voters are - ignorant, uneducated yokels who use Fox News for their fact-checking.
