She filmed her announcement regarding Impeachment in the same tunnel system that her colleagues used to hide/exit the Capitol earlier this month due to a violent insurrection she helped incite and possibly direct?

Yeah, great thinking.  I'm gonna film my Covid-19 vaccination shot at a Chinese Wet Market.

Marjorie...learn to read a room.  Two weeks ago, there were people cowering where you're standing, in fear for their lives.  Because of lunatics like you.

How do you impeach him if he's not really the President?

THANK YOU!  BIden's inauguration was all for show.   Anyone who's done their own research knows Trump is still fighting and finalizing things behind the scenes.  The Corporation thinks they inaugurated Biden, but get your popcorn ready for March 5th when he is taken out and arrested, the Corporation dissolves, and Donald Trump is reinstated as the 19th president of the real United States.  At least that's where QAnon Twitter is telling me the goalposts are now.  But you should educate yourselves.

Anyway, yeah, MTG seems like she sucks.

Buckle up...... this could be a rough election cycle folks.

That is an extremely premature thing to say 2 days into the Biden presidency.

We have zero idea of what is going to happen in redistricting.  This is not 2010 - something like 240 House seats (55%) can't be gerrymandered due to the work Democrats have put in during the last decade for independent redistricting committees.  For the rest, 129 seats are in GOP trifecta states and 66 are in Dem trifecta states. 6 seats are at-large, so they don't count (Montana may get a 2nd seat, but is a commission state).

Important states with nonpartisan staff/commissions:

  • Iowa
  • Arizona
  • California
  • Colorado
  • Michigan
  • Montana (for the addition of the 2nd seat)
  • New Jersey
  • Washington
  • Virginia

Maps drawn by the legislature but state laws in place for fairness:

  • Florida
  • North Carolina - friendly state Supreme Court that threw their maps out last decade (no gubernatorial veto of maps)
  • Pennsylvania - can be vetoed by the governor and friendly state Supreme Court that threw maps out last decade

Hybrid system with Dem control

  • Illinois - LETS GO 18-0 DEM MAP
  • New York - legislature can overturn the commission's maps twice before they draw their own (caveat: they are working on a 2021 amendment for a simple majority overrule of the commission's map)
  • Oregon

Hybrid system with GOP Control

  • Ohio
  • Utah

GOP has full control of maps in Georgia and Texas.

Dems have full control of maps in Nevada and New Mexico.

Dems have governor vetoes in:

  • Kentucky
  • Kansas
  • Louisiana
  • Massachusetts (meh, already a full Dem map)
  • Minnesota
  • Wisconsin

You can impeach vice presidents, presidents and Supreme Court Justices. But it has to happen while they are in office. She is back dating to impeach him while VP to be absurd and make that point, I imagine. This is dumb though. They impeached Trump while he was still in office.

Ron Wright passed, so special election May 1, jungle primary for TX-6.

Arlington, Mansfield, Ennis, Easternmost part of Fort Worth, Corsicana, Midlothian, Waxahachie  this is you.

11 Republicans have declared including Ron’s late wife. 10 Democrats. 1 Libertarian and 1 Independent.

FFS TX Dems don’t nationalize this race with a huge Beto presence, just keep his head down and do the dirty work smashing texts and calls. Get rid of the D candidates with no chance to  win and secure a runoff

+17 Romney ‘12

+3 Trump ‘20.

I didn't know jungle primaries were a thing in Texas.

R support will likely coalesce around Ms. Wright, ensuring she moves on. There is some real risk that a D gets left out if there isn't a well-known local name.

They are for special elections

1934 and 2002 are why I don't think it will be a disaster for Democrats.

  • 2022 will be to 2002 - the nation came together and Bush had great approvals post-9/11 response, which is exactly what should happen to Biden after people are vaccinated, back to work and kids back to school, plus the COVID relief should boost economic recovery bigly
  • GOP took back most of the districts they lost in the first Trump midterm back in 2020 - there's only like 8 Democrats left in Trump seats and 9 Republicans left in Biden seats (that might be reversed, but the point is, there's not a lot of ground for GOP to re-gain bigly number of seats, unlike 2010)
  • Redistricting is still up in the air, but Democrats can offset anything in Florida and Texas with New York, California and Illinois and veto bad maps in Wisconsin and Michigan.  Democrats also have the majority on state supreme courts in NC and PA to invalidate and re-draw maps
  • The places where Democrats are now winning (suburbs) are gaining more population than the rural red areas, so drawing new, highly partisan GOP maps that will stand up in court is looking less and less likely
