to Moloch, duh!  From the book of Leviticus.  Septuagint ruler, or 7th, or 17th---the number of the letter "Q" in our alphabet.  He ordered the Carthaginians to sacrifice children.  And Karl Marx used to refer to paper currency as "Molochs", so he wanted to bring his socialism to America.

Holy shit, I just realized in 30 seconds how easy it is to fuck with these people.

Okay, now I get it.  Forget all my other questions.  You can just manipulate them while drunk at home in your underwear.  Okay, cool.  cool.  totally get it now.

i really do not understand it. i've never had a high opinion of mccarthy, but this is swamp creature shit. this lady is fucking bonkers.

but mccarthy went to see trump and got his marching orders i guess.

It's not strange at all.

McCarthy has to worry about Gaetz, etc., and obviously he is not seeing enough Republicans step up to him and say "she needs to go".  He does not want to openly push such an action and find out after the fact whether he has the support or not.  By tossing it to the Democrats, he's going to let the Republicans individually go on record.

Republicans were fucking stupid for letting it get to that point, because now they all get to go on the record.  They absolutely should have told him they'd have his back and that she needs to go, but play stupid games, win stupid prizes (go on the record).

This should make McCarthy (and Turtle) feel a bit better - the Q wing of the party is not as big as thought:

All of this shit needs to be entered into the record tomorrow

Meanwhile in MTG world:

It works. She’ll stay in power. She is the GOP now. And she’ll raise a metric shitton of money.

Odds on favorite for the 2024 GQP nominee, of Trump doesn’t run. Because she’s an outsider, who tells it like it is. Ring a bell?

Hawley is a lot smarter than her and is still in good graces with Q. My money is still on him.

He’s definitely smart even though he got sent to the locker room to be examined for injuries.

But Greene? She has this less intelligent and definitely crazier   than Phyllis Schlafly vibe wherein she’s going to save white (mostly) male pride by giving the GOP something to rally around: Trump (obviously), and similar values that Schlafly was keen to endorse but take them to the extreme.
The worrisome part,IMO, isn’t so much how crazy Greene is but that the backers behind her have a willingness to drive that non integrated school bus off the cliff and may very well fracture the United States to the point of no return.

Yeah. We really need to step away from this smug attitude I see so often on here, pretending we piss on SEC SEC SEC country from a very great height. It is the epitome of glass houses.

Yeah, like I said a few weeks ago, at least those of us in SEC land have a blue Georgia that actually saved our red asses in both the presidential and senate elections.

The entire Big 12 and the remaining SEC states are very red and the Big 12 states actually had a bigger average margin of victory for Trump than the SEC states did.

(And, technically, Texas is in both groups.)

Without oil and Mexican-Americans, we'd be a total shit-show. Best-case scenario is we'd be a giant Florida, and heavy on the Panhandle Florida iteration.

And that's best case.

The "average Republican" doesn't care about facts or who she is.  The "average Republican" thinks the election was stolen, birtherism, O theories, and on and on.  They voted for 45 again despite injecting bleach, kids in cages, abandonment of the Kurds, and I could go on for days.  The "average Republican" either is insanely ignorant and shielded from all facts or doesn't give a flying fuck about facts or decency.    There is nothing that could come out about her that would change any of their minds.
Im your average republican and dont believe any of this

Maybe.

But you will continue to support the people who do. As they get crazier. Crazier than a mob that assaulted the Capitol and tried to violently overturn an election and decapitate a branch of government. That’s right, crazier than that.

“I don’t believe what insane fascists believe. But I support them.” Gosh, that sounds nice.

I don’t know if Liz will try to keep her seat or move on, but I suspect she will be primaries and lose in any statewide election, which her current seat is.

You ain't kidding--it's an ugly critter contest to see who's forked tongue is the longest.  There is actually no upside to being intelligent in this fight.  Jerry Springer was a ringmaster but eventually they picked a fan from the audience and gave them the show.  And we're going to stake some kind of rationality on who wins?  Here's something to think about--does a Jewish space laser get mentioned in the debates?

Without oil, a majority of the state would be living within 10 miles of the Gulf Coast.

Congresswoman Greene:  "You know, I have one simple request.  And that is to have Jews with frickin' laser beams attached to their heads.  Now evidently, my Qanon colleague informs me that that can't be done.  Can you remind me what I pay you people for?  Honestly, throw me a bone here.  What do we have?"

When you have a tiger by the tail, you act in ways that are meant to keep the tiger from eating you.

I'd need to see Venn diagram of those who voted to keep Liz Cheney in her position, and those who, outside of the public spotlight, do not care for MGT, because I have a feeling they are very much overlapping.

Or to put it another way:  I don't think MGT would keep her committee assignments if the Republicans held a secret vote on it - not if Liz is pulling in 70%.

The thing about MGT....I'm sure some of y'all remember those "Post of a Photo/Video of an Irishman!" threads on Shaggy, where one of us would run up to an Irishman, take his photo, and then yell "I JUST TOOK A PIECE OF YOUR SOUL" and then we'd film them trying to chase us down in the vain hope that somehow they could (in their minds) reclaim that little piece of their soul that we stole with our photograph.

The reality/irony was that none of us took a piece of their soul, because you can't take a piece of a soul from somebody who doesn't have a soul in the first place.  The Irishman never could understand that they were just an empty vessel shaped by the forces around them.  Because the Irish have no soul, they couldn't feel whether a piece of it was actually stolen or not.   All they had to go on was our telling them that we had just captured a piece of their soul.

MGT is the same way - she lacks the same kind of self-awareness that those Irish had - she's got Trump telling her she's doing a good job, she's got twitter people telling her she is, she's got Gym Jordan and Matt Gaetz telling her.

That vote in support of Liz Cheney should have caused her a lot of concern, because Liz Cheny had very publicly sided against Trump, but MGT is going off of what people who support her are saying.

The only thing MGT has in her favor is that this vote will be public, and that plenty of House Rs are scared shitless of Trump's base.

Did some Irish bloke fuck your wife or something?

Unless I'm conflating you with someone else who takes every opportunity to use "bog jumper"even if it's only tangently related to the subject at hand.

Is it a bit that I'm unaware of, self deprecating humor, " a jew broad prejudiced against Italians?"

Post less, your ass is showing

i mean, yeah, he made some big assumptions, but you saying that you are the average republican in this day and age means something different from the barry goldwater days.

right now, it seems the republican congressional leadership has lost their goddamn minds, but they've really not. they are acting with some kind of political calculus.

i would ask you to take the first question in his post seriously. how exactly are you the average republican? i'm honestly curious what that means to you.
