Bleach Blonde Bad Built Butch Body in Congress? Oh you mean Marjorie!

Make particular note of the GOP Reps that acknowledge that MGT thinks 9/11 actually happened that have been in office since the January 2001 swearing in.

How bizarre is this timeline that there are dozens of Congressmen who stood on those same Capitol steps to oppose terrorism in all its forms, who are now going to excuse Congresswoman Greene even though she publicly denied the event ever occurred in the first place.  It will go from the finest hour for some of our Congressional members to them having to say, "Look, maybe it happened.  Maybe it didn't.  What's important are Greene's rights to represent her constituents and beliefs.  As for that day on the steps 20 years ago, we used to get together every Tuesday and sing patriotic ballads out there on the steps."

I don't think many of you Qanon believers understand what "The Great Awakening" actually is.  It's not where you see the nation for what it really is.  It's where the nation really sees what you truly are.  Some, not all, but some of you are going to lose jobs, businesses, and child custody because of this.  And I going to laugh all the way to the bank.

I saw that. I am turning it off now. I watched the WH Press Briefing and then was catching the House, but I can't bear to watch anymore. The impeachment (#1) gaslighting was bad enough, but watching this after January 6th and the consistent denial that began about 24 hours later when everyone had met and got the talking points and strategy in order has been too much. Listening to the reasons the GOP posits, and then knowing as stated earlier in this thread that they want to have the Democratic leadership do it in order to hold it against them as opposed to the proper reasons of seditious words. (Yes, Kevin McCarty, I noticed you're making this about QAnon statements and not about her calling for the death of politicians). More and more they normalize the fascist behavior. More and more. They've turned Trump into the Great and Wonderful Oz.

Did she deny it happened at all, or that it was a false flag? I thought she was an inside-job truther. If so, her saying she "believes 9/11 happened" seems rather meaningless.

i mean, yeah, he made some big assumptions, but you saying that you are the average republican in this day and age means something different from the barry goldwater days.

right now, it seems the republican congressional leadership has lost their goddamn minds, but they've really not. they are acting with some kind of political calculus.

i would ask you to take the first question in his post seriously. how exactly are you the average republican? i'm honestly curious what that means to you.

To be fair, he is being an average Republican if he's lying about what he stands for. Hell, they deceive themselves about what they stand for.

Judging by Smax' hostility, he may be a Republican smugly satisfied that he or she is not an ebil lib radical socialist.

How can you tell if someone who claims to be an average Republican is telling the truth about anything? It's pretty clear that most of them don't distinguish between true or false or even real or unreal.

It's a fucking cult.

Michael Steele (former head of the GOP) and Mitt Romney (former GOP presidential nominee) are not average Republicans if they are Republicans at all.

See, we have to meet them halfway, they keep saying so.  So we have to acknowledge some of 9/11 happened, but maybe some of it didn't.   I guess those 2 planes did hit the WTC, but I won't concede the other 2 happened.  An empty field and the Pentagon? Psh.  The Pentagon is still standing.

Yeah, I saw one thing where she said inside job, another one from a long time ago where she said she thought it might not have happened like they said, and still another where she said it happened by outside terrorists but not in the way our government claimed.  I was generalizing about her 9/11 doubter theories.  Basically she sounded like Elliott Gould in "Ocean's 11"....."Look America, you know...there was that thing...at the place...with the guys."

I'm still trying to figure out how to tell my sister that Congresswoman does not have Down's Syndrome.  She's gonna be crushed.  This was gonna be part of her Special Olympics video tribute.

The GOP has basically said that they are going to cherry pick a couple of Dem reps if they get the majority back.  It's going to happen because they are vengeful dickheads.

So the dems need to pose the question today -- so you are saying that if one of our new freshman 2022 Dem representatives retweeted a post wishing the softball shooter had finished off Scalise with a "Damn right!", that you are totally fine with us putting that hypothetical freshman rep on a committee.  That's what you are saying here, right?

It won't change what's coming in two years or whenever majority shifts, but at least their hypocrisy will be on the record.

Yes, it seems more and more folks are grasping the obvious truth that is right before our eyes.  Trump -- hell, even the IDEA of Trump -- is either king or kingmaker in the GOP for the foreseeable future.

Any war for the GOP is over, and has been for years.  It's just that now, we're seeing the actual formal surrender papers being signed by GOP leadership.

But the thing is.....the bolded will NOT happen.  Sure, some moderates have left the party.  But not many.  The rest will happily go along with supporting psychopathic wingnuts who are continuing to stoke the fires of violence and terrorism  -- for fuck's sake, what we've seen on this board, with people openly admitting that Trump is horribad, but .... "I can't vote for a communist like Biden!"  It doesn't matter who the opponent is.

They will say "sure, MTG is nutty, and I disagree with what she said about Sandy Hook....and jewish space lasers....and [literally 500 other batshit crazy things including calling for the EXECUTION of political opponents].....but she gets my vote for POTUS over that communist Chinese spy Pete Buttigieg!  I have no choice!"

That is, if we even make it to the formality of an election.  If you think that a more organized, armed assault on the Capitol, with Congress inside, is not in the planning stages right now, you really haven't learned anything about how terrorists operate.

I think tons of moderates have left; their numbers have been replenished by ex-union Dems and people who never bothered to vote until they found a rough beast slouching towards Bethlehem worthy of latching on to.

The $2 Duane Reade legal pad and requisite Sharpie were a nice touch.  I know when I get down to serious business, I often scribble incessantly with markers.

I'm guessing that just before this photo was taken, there were many calls.  And just after the photo was taken, there were many meetings.  We were so fortunate to have this man doing the yeoman's work on the nation for so many years.  A lot of people are saying he didn't want to publish his daily schedule because he didn't want other Presidents to feel bad for not working 18 hours a day, 7 days a week like he did.  I mean, sure there's really not much evidence to suggest he was working at all...but still...that's just a class act to not rub in his predecessor's faces like that.

But no, you can’t vote after you finished your prison term, people have to know there are consequences for their behavior.

Please do.  I didn't even know that's what they called it until I watched that Vice special on "Qanon" earlier this week.  Although immortal13 thinks I am crazier than those people, I did have one moment of clarity while learning about the followers of "Q."

We're learning more about with whom we inhabit this nation in the last 4-5 years than we could have in 40-50 years.  We're getting all of the lunatics, the assholes, the racists, the nationalists, the supremacists, the pieces of human shit...all of them out in the open Its gonna be a rough few years of dealing with them. But it's a necessary to step to identify enemies of democracy, progress, and decency before we can move on as a Judeo-Christian nation.  The greatest miracle Jesus ever performed was convincing the world that real evil did in fact exist.  And it lives all around us.  But unlike Satan, Qanon and its followers have the decency to admit to us that they in fact, do exist.  (how's that for insane?)

"Look, I'm not a Nazi.  The whole 'final solution' thing seems to me a bit too much.  I mean, not that you can believe the media.  "Auschwitz" sounds like fake news.  But anyway, I'm not a Nazi.  I just support them with my vote, without fail, because of their economic policies, and I hate commies, and if I support anyone but the Nazis, I'm supporting a commie.  And also because they bomb the Dutch, because fuck the Dutch.  Let's not forget that.  It's important."

The polling numbers are unambiguous.  The votes in Congress are unequivocal.  If you continue to support the GOP, maybe because of mah guns, or mah bortions, you necessarily support the current core point of the party: everyone opposed to us drinks baby blood and is pedophiles and is in league with the Chinese, the zionists, and the commies from commieland, and the election was stolen by the ghost of Chavez and Dominion and the Hamburglar, and any and all means of opposing these bad people is fine, including violent action like summarily executing them.  That whole last part.....it's kind of a big deal.

It's like arguing that you should stay in a relationship with a woman because she's got nice legs......but she also regularly lights all of your stuff on fire, you wake up to her trying to stab you on the regular, and she already murdered your dog and brags about it.  It, ummm, really doesn't matter how nice her legs are -- you're continuing to date a murderous animal abusing psychopath, and that's a bad choice.

Back when the Mob brazenly owned national politicians.

Former NY Senator Alfonse D'Amato with some friends of his. Months after this pic was taken, dude on the right was found dead in a car trunk on Long Island. He was a Gambino "associate." Guy on the left's last name is Gambina but he was a Bonnano guy turned FBI rat.

Quote

The political mixer in the early ’90s was not the first time that D’Amato had crossed paths publicly with New York gangsters.

In the 1980s, he took the stand as a character witness for a Lucchese family associate.

On another occasion, D’Amato rallied unsuccessfully to persuade then-federal prosecutor Rudy Giuliani to reduce charges against Genovese mobster Mario Gigante.

D’Amato also intervened on behalf of Paul Castellano, who at the time was the boss of the Gambino crime family.

In the past, D’Amato characterized these controversies as nothing more than efforts to support constituents.
