So glad it’s back.  My Pokes were looking strong before Covid killed the season.  I’ll never forget that last run to Omaha, spent the regionals and SR watching games on my phone awhile my assembling my unborn daughters furniture, drinking beer and listening for that PING.

College baseball has the best, most interesting, and overall ‘fair’ playoff format of all college sports...yes March Madness is often incredibly exciting but double eliminations, losers bracket, regionals hosting, and Omaha all make it my favorite.

OU and Baylor are playing a nonconference game at the Round Rock tournament.  It's on FloSports for anyone that signed up for that.  OU is up 2-0 in the 1st.

Woof OU, getting swept by an undefeated Arizona squad is no disaster but they’ve lost to Stephen F Austin, Omaha and got spanned by the SEC.

For osu feels like 2/3rds of the runs have come from HRs...not sure how sustainable that is but was good to see against the GCU Friday starter who had a 0.75 ERA and was throwing heat in the mid-90’s for 100 pitches.

Well guess I reverse jinxed it...19 Ks and great defense for the Pokes first win at ORU since like 95.  It’s been an ongoing thing for years to have that monkey on our backs.  Tons of stranded RISP, Holliday was right about our hitting but it’ll probably come around.  Believe Vandy is next...I’m sure they don’t have good pitching or any baseball tradition.

Sarcasm aside, would kill to catch a game at the new stadium and am cautiously optimistic about the season.

Don't be cautious.  This is the best team since the mid 80's Pokes.  Our pitching staff is ridiculous.

Dude...it’s me here.  I’m more on the ‘Stache end of the spectrum and for me to state cautious optimism on a UT board actually means I think we have something special but am still checking around corners for Squinky.

Having a midweek rotation that seems to deal better with runners on base is a wonderful thing.
