Does it seemed like Sark has learned his lesson from the 2022 recruiting cycle to not waste scholarships on special teams specialists?

We have Pearson already, they just wanted competition

Why are so many walk-on’s little white dudes with fancy names? What’s the angle? Do their grades count towards team gpa? I don’t understand the walk-on program.

They need to be able to pay their tuition, have the grades to get into UT by themselves, and not have any big scholarship offers that they'd take instead of a PWO slot.

Statistically, that skews your pool of applicants to a specific type.

Kohls Analysis - Ranked #54

Quote

Malphurs continues to put up impressive performances at each camp he attends, his most recent during the 2022 Kohl's National Scholarship Camp. He scored 24 points during the field goal charting sessions, and had an impressive big ball during kickoff of 77 yards with a hang time of 3.58 seconds. Malphurs is well on his way to making a big splash at the next level if he can keep up with these sorts of performances. Malphurs is an impressive overall athlete. Long and slender with explosive hips. He had arguably one of the best HS seasons in the country last season by going 18-20 with a long of 57. He competed well at a Kohl's ranking event in January of 2022. He can be dominant with his kickoffs, and he was able to chart several 65+ yard balls including a big ball of 67 yards with 3.87 seconds of hang time. The trajectory he creates is also towards the top of his class nationally and if can consistency lock his leg out through ball/foot contact He can become one of the top field goal kickers in the 2023 Class.

I can't wait for Sark to pull the classic Dad-coach move by not starting him the first game to appear unbiased, and then starting him at shortstop/pitcher - uh I mean MLB - the rest of his career. Should go well.

So Pitmaster Price's son can't wait to gtfo aggy, yet Sark's son who plays ball in Cali and has real offers from decent programs decides to PWO for his dad. Welcome to the 40 Brady

I love that the team seems to be so together and supportive of one another.

Agiye Hall looked to be genuinely enjoying himself there too. Good for Taaffe.

PWO WR from Alamo Heights.  Not a very good FB district this past year, so TD numbers might be skewed...

Neighborhood kid can fly and has great hands. Good pickup if he takes it. Less competitive district sure, but you still have to make plays when given the opportunity. Worthy anyone??

I’ll go out on a limb and say that he’s not as good as Worthy.

Who said he was? If you’re pleased with Worthy on/off the field, cool. Gimme, gimme, gimme. Want to get paid? Better deliver. NIL works both ways.

Actually it doesn't

For example, a NIL deal can’t include performance-based incentives

We are fucking dominating the PWO market from Alamo Heights and Westlake. Somebody better put Highland Park on notice.

Heights has a legit stud named Mike Terry that will be a junior next year, already has a bunch of FBS offers. He’s more… athletic than the usual AH kid, plays QB & WR. SA in general has a lot of 2025 stars.

He is coming to play football? What is VY's kid going to come here to play golf next?

Welcome Brooks Jr! They used to say your dad played baseball like a linebacker, so maybe you can play both ways.

At 6’4” 230 wtf is he not playing baseball.  And if he’s going to play football why is he not a DE.  All his highlights are at OT.

Aaron Judge & Giancarlo Stanton dwarf him. He could totally play baseball at that size.
