Question my manhood etc but I’ll be the dude that still has his passport and reading glasses.

Every time I go to London, I break out the fanny pack. Sunglasses, readers, mints, dude wipes, wallet. I'm ready for anything. No one bats an eye, it's so commonplace over there. Now, as a giant-sized man, no one here in the US would say anything to my face but I'd just feel weird using one here. I see them more and more, maybe one day I'll get over it.

Ive been watching The Pacific and trying to reconcile how the people who did Nanking one generation ago are now the people who apologize to everyone for the train arriving 2 minutes too late.

That's a lie, they have to talk to eastern Euros. Otherwise they wouldn't be able to order food in any restaurants.

Unbelievable what a car repair shop tried to do to Mrs LVC…🤯
An advisory light on her Jetta came on…it indicated a diesel filter problem.
She takes it to Sun Auto…they quoted her nearly $7000 in parts and labor…obviously she declined.
She then got a second opinion from…none other…than a VW dealer.
The dealership tells her all that needs to be done is to take the car out on the freeway at 70 mph and blow out the crap causing the indicator to come on.
They said that they would do it for $194 or she can do it herself…you can guess which option she chooses.
She takes are car out on the freeway as suggested…after driving no more than 20 minutes at highway speeds the indicator light went off.

I told her I’d go straight back to Sun Auto and let them know they just lost a customer and as many as she can steer away after a Yelp review.

Brat, you might let her know that it’s really hard on diesel engines to idle them at low rpms all the time.

Then why do these truck owners leave them running constantly? Some fuckers won’t even turn them off at the pumps. They sure as fuck don’t when they run in for their 12 pack.

This is actually a pretty standard way to reset your car's ECU. I was getting my son's new truck fixed up and smog checked (yes, we know, the seller is supposed to do that, but they're neighbors; we're square) and the shop accidentally forgot to reattach something (it happens, they owned it; we're square) and to clear the check engine light, that's what I had to do.

Oh, and you have to have at least a quarter of a tank when you do it.
