Shady shit?  We’re talking about a liquor store named after Gypsies.  Did they promise a free bottle of Pappy with every roof replacement?

Specifics weren’t provided. The guy behind the counter looked to be homeless last time I was in there.

Store pick selections are pretty skimpy in Houston right now.

All 3 bourbons you mentioned are distilled by Buffalo Trace and owned by Sazerac.

Sazerac indeed owns Barton and Buffalo Trace, but I don't think BT is distilling 1792 unless I am just completely out of the loop. The Barton distillery still runs independently out of Bardstown, which is a good couple of hours away from Frankfort where the BT distillery operates.

Haven’t seen EHT SiB on the shelf at or near msrp in years. Walk into two different shops in Colorado and find that, Bowman SiB, Hancock’s, a pallet of BT and two different JD BP picks.

I am seeing a lot more stuff on shelves than I’ve seen in a long time. And at reasonable prices. A lot of Willett, HH, EC and Larceny BP and barrel picks, McKenna 10, lower level Bt and Weller all on the shelf. In the last month I’ve picked up at MSRP or reasonable markup EC18, ETL, Hancock, EC private barrel, Larceny B24, Stagg jr, EHT BP, and a few others. I pass on stuff I’ve already got multiples of to leave for others, so left similar on shelf. And I’m seeing a lot more of the unobtainable bottles in the wild, just not at prices I will pay.
