My daughters and I talk about this. I’ve always been puzzled about where the idea of on-campus indoctrination comes from. I don’t think humanities and liberal arts faculty are any more or less toleran

Them internals have to be bad bad

Gov. Abbott directed the TCEQ to halt any new permits authorizing data center projects until ERCOT completes its audit.

No state agency shall move forward with approvals related to the development of data centers until that information is acquired.

We need to elect Gina in order to save higher education in Texas. The schools can't do it by themselves:

Collectives of Texas Tech students and faculty are continuing to fight against the university’s course-content changes, pursuing legal intervention and mobilizing to have Chancellor Brandon Creighton removed from office.

Maybe those tens of thousands of students (and hundreds of thousands of alumni) should think about voting in November and who they should vote for.

This graphic, with a reminder that Republicans have held every statewide office in Texas since 1994 should be ubiquitous in democratic candidate advertising for the next 30 days.

It's not even halftime, and I've already seen two Paxton ads out here in California. Watching the Rams play the Eagles. Fuck you guys

I am so confused by what I am looking at. The Texians did not have cavalry at the Alamo. What are they holding? Rifles? Are they cowboys going to shoot their own cattle?

Anyway we all know when the GOP says "America" they mean the Epstein class and their servile supporters. So that sounds good to me.

goddammit I hate that in any other other scenario this would be fucking hilarious. like real comedians committing seppuku because they cannot match the level of high comedy. instead, it's just fucking pathetic. I'll admit, I did lol - at the absurdity.

As a consolation you can be assured that millions of GOP funds are being spent for you to see those commercials. Even if Paxton somehow pulls out a victory, its probably at the expense of 2-3 other GOP senate candidates.

By the curve of their silhouette I'm going with a Nepali Kukri. Which would be ironic if Talarico and/or Hinojosa wins and the victory margin matches the Southeast Asian vote.

Texas high school shut down a production of "Little Shop of Horrors" after a girl was cast as Seymour. School cited Senate Bill 12, best known for its anti-drag provisions...but the law has twice been ruled unconstitutional.

So. Fucking. Stupid.

Gender bending in High School productions has been happening forever. Even at a school as big as South Grand Prairie, two things are always true at the high school level. 1. Top end talent for lead roles is scarce, and 2. More girls are interested in being in these productions. Add to this the fact that most plays and musicals have more male characters, and this is inevitable.

My daughter- at her private Christian high school- was in a production of Jesus Christ Superstar last year, and there were at least 5 girls running around the stage with beards on.

To be fair, Audrey 2 is written as a baritone (though a girl played it in my daughters production). It actually makes more sense for a girl to play Seymour.
