In case you’re deprived of football, FCS football kicks off this weekend. Most games should be accessible on ESPN +

Your NDSU bison are favored again. But Iowa St transfer Zeb Noland will be replacing Trey Lance at QB as he’s left for the draft.

#5 SDSU @ #3 UNI on the + now

Did you make it to the game? Crowd sounded decent. Timmerman was a disaster on the call
I did. Going to the Flickertail game in April as well.

Bison down 31-7 to SIU in the 4th quarter.

NDSU got fucking destroyed today. They’re nothing without that Lance kid it seems.

Lol they’ve won 8 national titles in the last ten years. Their program was not reliant on one player to have success.

SE LA v. SHSU was a fun game to watch today. Lots of crazy plays

Between the 2 teams they put up over 1200 yards of total offense and almost 900 yards of passing.  Crazy.

South Dakota forced Illinois State into 7 turnovers yesterday. 5 of them were in consecutive drives. Never seen anything like it. Ended up winning with a freshman QB who attended HS 2 miles from Illinois State's campus.

Bison shut out Missouri St. 25-0. Maybe last weak was just clearing the cobwebs.

A lot more energy on the sidelines, that was noticeable. Play calling is a lot left to be desired, shutting out shitbag Petrino is a nice gift in spring football

Which Petrino? Just kidding, I don't give a fuck.

NDSU for a long time had better talent, at most positions, than every opponent. With that, it doesn't really matter what plays you call. Seems like we don't have that advantage this year.

Cam Miller time, baby. Noland was a huge flop

Bracket's out:

Is UND a higher seed than the Bison?  If so, and if both teams take care of business, they'll play in Grand Forks.

Not one but two teams that are 3-0 while one team is 9-2?  Seriously?  That's even weirder than the recent FBS season in terms of disparity of games played.

The 9-2 team played four games in the fall. Games in the fall counted towards the overall record. A 7 to 3 game disparity in the spring is also a lot, but not as crazy as 11. The teams with 3 wins came from conferences where most of the teams opted out of the season.

Makes sense.  The D3 conference that includes where I went to undergrad skipped the spring season altogether.

There was no rhyme or reason to much of anything this spring. Some teams opted to play just in the Spring, some teams opted to play just in the Fall, some teams did both. Some teams didn't play at all. The last one is certainly one of the reasons why we got Jeff Choate to take an assistant job with us. He had Montana State rolling with positive momentum and they were going to go a full year without playing. That's tough on an FCS program.

Ndsu visits Bowers stadium for the first time since the Rhett Bomar days!

Ndsu mopped the floor with eastern Washington. Honestly it was the best NDSU has looked in this weird season. I’m well versed how SHSU racks up wins and stats vs pud teams so they get a free pass almost every season to the playoffs..and higher seed. Sounds like they can sling it, per usual. But they curl up in the fetal position against NDSU come playoffs

But that’s in frisco and Fargo. Should be a good one. If the second half ndsu team shows up...I don’t think any team, including every seeded team, can beat that
