Not sure how Shaka is able to recruit great players -- he is such a terrible head coach.

It's easy when you have Austin, Texas behind you. And in a state that produces a lot of top 100 prospects.

There is an amazing lack of structure and role discipline on all of Shaka’s teams.  I amused myself in the commercial break imagining what Bob Knight would do if his center decided to try to cross people from the top of the key on two possessions in a row and dribbled it off his legs out of bounds.

Does Shaka tell any of these guys they shouldn’t shoot threes? (Will Baker and Dylan Osetkowski say, “No.”).  Does he tell any of them what their strengths are and to know their role?  It doesn’t seem like it.

Thought similar, what would Self do if anyone jacked up and off balance three immediately in a possession? Lose his fucking mind. We encourage it from everyone.

I'm struggling to remember a worse Kansas team under Bill Self.  Am I missing one?  These guys are idiots and we could easily be winning this game.

Self has been at KU since 2004. The worst his team has ever finished in Kenpom was his very first year; they finished #18 overall and went to the Elite 8. this is easily the worst team he's ever had at KU. dude is the best coach in CBB; has been for some time.

Playing light years better this half, in large part because Kansas now can't shoot

Yeah, KU not bringing the same energy on defense in 2nd half is also a big factor for this TEXAS offensive run.

Good to see Horns attacking the rim more in this 2nd haf...

I don't know if he's the best coach in college bball, but my point was essentially aligned with what you said.  This team is one of, if not the worst teams he's put on the court in Lawrence.

Aj offers zero on D in the paint ...he just seems to sit in no mans land not double teaming down on the big aggressively nor choosing to cover the three point shooter.
