Super strange turn of events

Not a single moment of play happened.

In Louisville, Texas is in 2nd and 6 strokes above the cut line. Papp is individually in 3rd

This tournament director is a spineless cocksucker for turning and running from the questions and comments of the participants. The NCAA once again shits on women’s sports. And guess who benefited from this decision? The host team, LSU,  as the #1 seed.

What just happened? Folks have a right to ask why not play if it's playable, who cares about championship conditions. I get pissed at lots of young players for their lack of accountability but these folks aren't helping. It's golf, get out and play.

Well, moving away from Baton Rouge, which - if from what I saw, this venue doesn't even have a full-time groundskeeping crew for golf, using students to make up the difference, so they should be barred from ever hosting an NCAA golf regional ever again -

Texas advanced out of Louisville - tied for 2nd at +11 overall, 3 off the leader and 5 above the cut line.  South Carolina and Arky went to one-hole playoff - South Carolina (#1 ranked team) advanced.

Only notable misses out of all the regionals was #11 Virginia, #23 Tech and #24 Vanderbilt.  Besides Tech, ISU/OU/TCU all failed to advance as well.

Guo and Park having not played at the regionals are now playing in the NCAAs

Guo didn't play in the Big 12 tournament either. What's going on there? Covid?

This team is obviously much better with Guo playing.

Texas hanging around 3rd at -2 for the day so far. Only a few teams shooting under par for today.  We have a 7 stroke lead ahead of 4th

Being in the top 8 is all that’s needed to get into match play. They have a 14 stroke cushion over 9th place with 2 rounds left in stroke play.

Not a great day today - +5 and currently 4th at +6.  19 strokes above today’s cut line. 11 strokes clear of 8th

so basically all the teams that are +24, +30, and +31 like SC, Baylor, and UCLA are going to have to have a -11 like Stanford did to even have a chance at the top 8

when they cut to the top 8 do the scores reset?

Stanford at -18 while everyone is +2 or more looks pretty unstoppable

After they cut to 8, they pair them 1/8, 2/7, 3/6, 4/5 and move them along in Match play.

Yeah would be nice to move up to the #2 or #3 spots for match play...

thanks I sort of remember that now that you said it, but you cleared it up

basically you just have to beat your pairing for the final 3 to win it all

It would be nice to move up some but match play is kind of a crap shoot.

We were the #1 seed in the last match play and lost in quarters to the #8 seed. Just get there and anything can happen.

Texas is in the second group (tee off at 10:32am Arizona time) and is 11 shots clear of the cut line. Need a good day to stay in the top 8 for match play

I’d like to stay out of Stanford’s bracket. They are the class of the field this week, 20 shots clear of the 2nd place.

If #1 USCe sneaks into that 8th spot, Stanford will be pissed!

#1 USCe and #3 LSU are both within striking distance of that 8th spot.  I wouldn't want either.

We are currently slated to be paired with #5 Ole Miss but we are closer to moving off the 4 seed to the 3 seed than we are in danger of falling below the 5 seed.  But we will see how the course shakes out today.  We hit the green in about 20 min or so.

We are one of the few teams under par today.  Good thing Stanford had a big lead, as they are +3 for today.

We are finishing up the front 9, still 2 strokes back of OSU but 5 strokes ahead of Ole Miss. Still 11 shots clear of the cut line.  LSU having a great day at -4 so far and moved into T-6th.  SCe is +6 and looking dire for them to hit the match play portion.  Texas will likely be the lowest ranked team if things hold (#17, along with #6, #2, #7, #5, #4, #3 and #10).

With Texas at +5 and Ole Miss at +10, unless we tank the back 9 or Ole Miss goes on a tear, we look pretty secure with that #4 seed with the potential for #2 or #3 (3 back of Duke and 2 back of OK State) - it's early for both those teams

Final round airing on the Golf Channel

While looking good to make match play, nothing is locked in as far as seeds. You often see massive swings if things go real bad or real well simultaneously for a team. Seeding really doesn’t matter that much except you’d prefer not to be in Stanford’s side of the bracket. They are the class of the field this week.

Stanford came back to earth, but clearly they are damn good

I am not sure if I want Texas to swap with OkState and face Wake Forest or maybe LSU or for Texas to stay right where they are and probably face Ole' Miss

both Wake Forest and LSU were lower seeds than Ole' Miss (by one each) coming in and all 3 are having a good day, but LSU looks to be having the best day so far

either way Texas is going to have to perform, but at least they are having a good day so far to take it to the next round

Leaking oil at moment, let's get some back to finish.

the only good news to it is just swapping places right now with Ole' Miss still keeps the same match up....but I would prefer the momentum as well

I would also rather avoid falling one more behind and being paired with OkState for a number of reasons

Not sure what just happened, but TEXAS final team score just adjusted one stroke better to +9  🤘

Wake Forest score blowing up in a bad way losing a bunch of strokes... LIU has lost 5 strokes to par in the last two holes...

Surprised to see no BIG 10 teams in the final 15...

Stanford must have gone out drinking last night or they did some day drinking on the course (I mean it is golf)

not the best of days for Texas, but it looks like it really makes no difference in the pairing barring AZ going crazy on the last few holes

LSU really fell off somehow even with a decent day it looks like Arizona had the better day and Auburn exploded for a -10

Texas Ole' Miss might be the most even pairing I think OkState is in a good place against Arizona, but as these days show things can really change....Auburn is coming in with momentum so OkState might want AU to keep the spot they are in

Glad we took care of business and don’t have to stress about making the cut. By virtue of the top 8 making it, at #17, we’ve surpassed my expectations

This is true but they're definitely a top 10 team with Guo.

That's why the Big 12 tournament was very deceiving without Guo playing.
