Driving out to Marfa with my kiddo on Monday. She’ll be sleeping and/or on her iPad most of the drive.

What kind of books do y’all like listening to on the road? Looking for Recs...thanks

Assuming from Austin area so 7 hours each way/14 total?

Trying to finish it on the road trip?

What types of books do you like?

Audiobooks of John Sandford books make the trips pass quickly.  If you like WW2 era espionage with a cool flair, Alan Furst novels on audiobooks all have been good for me.  I'm addicted to the Jack Reacher series as well.  Those can get you to Marfa and back a bunch of times.

Promise of Blood, book 1 of the powder mage series is about 19 hours, think game of thrones with guns mixed with Sherlock Holmes in the 1800s.

14 by Peter Clines, good semi horror mystery lovecraftian is 12.5 hrs has a little more young adult feel to it.
