Brad Underwood on that list from Trilly? The same Brad Underwood who left Oklahoma State after 1 year to get to his wife’s homeland of Illinois just for her?

I don’t know about that.

I would absolutely poach Golden

I think Golden's been trying to do his own poaching while down there in Gainesville

no to the socks!!!    She needs high heeled FMP’s for gameday attire!

Texas:
  • Royal Ivey: can coach, would drive program support, but totally unproven at the college level.
  • Brad Underwood: meh.
  • Sean Miller: meh.
  • Todd Golden: seems like a decent HC given his short career, but also might be a sexual predator.
  • Will Wade: dirty as fuck, but the guy can coach. Unlikely we hire him.

What’s going on with the back of her head? Look like she rinse her hair in dookie water.

I believe that would be the original color of her hair before she decided to go blonde.

Watching St. John’s win in pitino second year just shows if you hire the right guy you can win and win big by the second year. I want CDC to smash this hire so bad.

1 in a 1000?  Pitino was coaching at Iona. I get the toxicity but he’d have gone to 40 other places before St Johns

Did you practice having a punchable face? Or acting like you just smelled a fart?

Did the players attend those?

If so, was punching Laettner extra?

Laettner was there for a scrimmage one of the days and he seemed like a dick, even though I was a huge fan of his. Bobby Hurly and Johnny Dawkins were also there.

Coach K talked a lot with the campers. Seemed like a legitimately great dude. Got my picture with him in Cameron, and he’s got a huge grin because my dad made some joke while he took the photo that made Coach K laugh.

Oh yeah? Well I went to Gerald Myers basketball camp at Tech one summer (I guess we didn’t have Duke money). I don’t remember any of the coaches or players but I remember my brother and I buying like 4 volumes of the Truly Tasteless Jokes books at the campus library and learning all kinds of new words (I was 9 I think). I called some older kid a “cunt” that week and a minor scuffle ensued. I took a photo with some tech player but I have no idea who he was. He was grinning in the photo, maybe I told him one of my new jokes like your dad did with Coach K.

My parents didn’t either. My dad was a Marine, and there’s not a ton of money working for that corporation. That was the era before basketball camps exploded. And there was maybe one or two Division 1 prospects there. It was mostly just a bunch of scrawny white kids whose parents wanted a week without kids.

I know she isn't blonde,  but if we're talking women, Dawn Staley would change the game.

She can fn coach.

She could fn play.

She could get all the players.

The media $torm would be immeasurable.

She would crush it. If we're going to money whip anyone, I got tree fiddy to throw on her.

An old guy from New York City, who lives in New York City and was already working in New York City, would have gone 40 other places before St Johns?

I doubt it. St Johns is an absolutely perfect fit for him

I did the same thing but at University of New Mexico.  Got to meet Dave Bliss before he told the Baylor players to hide the body.  I knew he was psycho since he didn't take the key to his car in his pocket.  He put it on the front driver tire after locking it.

And people say Tech doesn’t take academics seriously.

Dear Coach Billy Donovan,

The University of Texas is ready for a leader like you to take our basketball program to the top. With your proven track record of player development, championship pedigree, and ability to elevate teams beyond expectations, Texas is the perfect place for your return to college basketball.

We have the resources, facilities, and talent pipeline to compete at the highest level—plus an $8 million annual offer to make it worth your while. All we ask is consistent Sweet 16 appearances or better. The SEC is waiting, and Texas is ready. Let’s build something legendary.

My dad actually grew up with Dave Bliss. Bliss had a court above his garage as a kid and the neighborhood kids all used to shoot hoops there

One of the most beautiful campuses in the US. I can think of worse places to spend a week.

I went to basketball one summer, but we didn’t have Duke/Marine money, Texas Tech money, or even University of New Mexico money…

I went to Gene Bartow’s basketball camp… when he was coaching at the University of Alabama… at Birmingham.

But we didn’t have UAB money…

Instead I went to Gene Bartow’s basketball camp at Wentworth Military Academy in the town of Lexington, Missouri… population ~4,600.

I was a day camper.

I may have won the award for “most hustle” or possibly “best defender” in my age group, because I was likely the only one who tried to defend.

I don’t know if I even got to meet Gene Bartow, but he did talk each day.

if ben mccollum is able to recruit well, handle NIL well, and particularly work the portal well then he’s going to be a success wherever he goes. those are some big-ass “if’s” that a lot of people want to ignore. iu should not take on that risk. iowa seems like a more appropriate landing spot for him imo. especially if iu still has any big boosters who care about hoops (which i have to assume they do).

I was surprised but apparently Drew and TJ joined Brad Stevens in turning the Hoosiers down. I kind of have to wonder what the heck is going on there.
