OPS+ is BR’s main offensive measurement. Here’s Haase’s page...

For comparison, Giancarlo’s career OPS+ is 144, so 44% better than league average.

ah, didn't realize there was OPS and OPS+

So we have visitors at my house tonight from out of State.  So I didn’t watch and decided to check the score and see we are in danger of being no hit again.

What's the record for most times to be no hit in one season?

The record for no hitters is 8 in one season for all of MLB. So I think if the M's got no-hit 8 times this year, that would be a record for 1 team.

I am not watching tonight and I'm not sorry.

I'm a glutton for punishment so I'll probably catch some.  Want to see how Gilbert does in his second start.

Biff has tried to have a semblance of hope.  But yeah, this may be the worst Mariners team I have ever watched and that is saying something.

Year three of the rebuild and it does not look good. Doesn’t matter which prospects you rush up if there aren’t at least some serviceable vets to help round out the roster.  At least half of the starting lineup shouldn’t be in MLB, period.

Bret Boone kind of dropped off the face of the earth after baseball.  I always assumed he was hiding from potential steroid accusations, but I have no idea.

I had to look him up: apparently he wrote a book in 2016.  Huh.

And so it begins.

Was about to post Passan's tweet reporting same thing.  "Least vaccinated?"  This fucking franchise.

Based on a potential positive test, and out of an abundance of caution to allow time to work with Major League Baseball on contact tracing protocols, the Mariners today made the following roster moves:
· Keynan Middleton (#99), RHP, reinstated from 10-day Injured List (strained right biceps)
· Aaron Fletcher (#41), LHP, recalled from Triple-A Tacoma
· Wyatt Mills (#40), RHP, recalled from Triple-A Tacoma
· Yohan Ramírez (#55), RHP, recalled from Triple-A Tacoma
· Eric Campbell (#5), INF, selected from Triple-A Tacoma
· Robert Dugger, RHP, placed on Injured List
· Anthony Misiewicz, LHP, placed on Injured List
· Drew Steckenrider, RHP, placed on Injured List
· Will Vest, RHP, placed on Injured List
