I think I'm starting to miss our gm.  And our manager and our offense.  And this ashtray.  And this lamp.  And this paddle game.

And yeah, to LMJ’s comments, can someone explain to me what constitutes a game getting postponed?

When I saw the list of guys out sick, my immediate question was “why isn’t this postponed?”

In other off day news.....Bregman and his wife are suing La Cantera in San Antonio

Astros star Alex Bregman and his wife Reagan filed a lawsuit against San Antonio's La Cantera Resort and Spa on Thursday, seeking the return of their $80,000 deposit after being forced to postpone their wedding due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The couple had planned to have a big wedding in San Antonio last December, but a surge in COVID-19 cases meant some guests weren't going to be able to travel and with the CDC's restrictions on group gatherings, the Bregmans decided to had a smaller ceremony at the Katy home of Reagan's parents.  “When we booked the wedding, cases were lower and we hoped the pandemic was subsiding,” Alex Bregman said in a press release sent by Carroll Strategies, a public relations firm. “However, as cases surged in Texas and across the country leading up to the wedding date, it was clear we had to make plans for a smaller ceremony with fewer guests.”

According to the press release, the Bregmans had paid the resort an $80,000 deposit in August, and the resort is asking for an additional $40,000 for the couple canceling. The Bregmans say they signed a contract warning that the wedding could be canceled if guests were unable to safely attend.

“The resort needs to do the right thing and return the money,” said Bruce Malott, business manager for the Bregmans. “The contract clearly states they have to give back the deposit if the wedding couldn’t be held due to COVID-19.Bregman said he and his wife had hoped to have a bigger reception at the resort after this baseball season when COVID-19 cases have subsided.

“We tried to work something out with the resort,” he said. “We made an offer to get a partial refund and have a reception after COVID, but that was rejected. Since the resort is unwilling to work with us on a solution, we feel we have no choice but to take legal action to get our deposit back.”

Phone calls and emails to La Cantera Resort and Spa were not immediately returned.

A little birdie told me that Altuve has it (apparently for the FOURTH time?!?) and that the others should be cleared soon, potentially tomorrow.  But they didn't travel with the team per protocol and have to wait in Houston until they're cleared, so probably will play Saturday.

Didnt they all stop in Houston from spring training on their way to Oakland to get the vaccine? Or did that not pan out.

first dose is 80% effective. We have all these guys in the 20%?!

and calling bs on that Altuve stat. Catching covid once every 3.5 months? Not buying that. (Really once every 2.5 months if you take out Jul-Oct last year when he apparently was completely fine...unless there is a direct link between covid and the yips in october)
