I am reading this book right now for the 4th or 5th time. Just as good this time as the 1st. Really great blend of the large scale tactical situation while also introducing the crews of various ships on a personal level with plenty of quotes from survivors.

Read that book 15 yrs ago.  I couldn't put it down.  When I was done I just couldn't wrap my mind around the fact that really happened.

My bad.   Ian Toll wrote the trilogy.  They are excellent in their own right.
