Hamilton said that the unnamed committed prospect that reached out a couple weeks ago is now "Very" interested.

Also, another rumor I read on IT's long recruiting thread is that there are 3 guys that have reached out that would be portals. 2 on offense, and 1 on defense.

Could the two share the same last name of a certain unheralded starting LB at Texas?

Don’t you do this to me you hear me. I’ve been on the fuck the brocks train for a long time

Not just a known quantity to Sark, but a VERY well-known quantity. I believe Sark’s son plays at Mater Dei, as well.

So Bryce Young is transferring here. Niceeee

Lemme get this straight, we stole a coveted DL from the state of Louisiana and quickly followed it up by stealing another one from the state of Alabama?

I’m liking this trend.

And one from Mississippi

I don’t think it would be him, since it wouldn’t really be news or require discretion

If Anderson was at the aggy game it probably wasn't him since that game would have already started when ours was over.

To add fuel to the Brocks speculation, they were not on the depth chart week one, correct?

Tommy hasn't broken into the second team yet, in camp or during the season. James is a few years away from competing for second string there

They weren’t on the two deep so that’s a saving grace for mommy and daddy Brock and that they only have to travel to austin to watch the kids play since the others are riding the pine three states over

Fucking Orange County man, may as well be outside of La Pine, Oregon.
A side note:  My former secretary (little mexican smoke show and the sweetest kid EVER) got expelled from Mater Dei because she got pregnant.

Hmmmm… does username check out?

And has Jacoby Matthews shown any interest in Texas aside from immediately after his decommit?

Should be noted it's a possibility we may lose one of the DL from the 21' class.  Jordon Thomas is currently not with the team or in school, so who knows if he'll even return.

i thought it was just posted he wasn't with the team (not also not in school) but that it wasn't a personal issue?

Commits so far who are planning on enrolling early

Jaydon Blue

We are actually going to have a pretty crowded backfield in the Spring.

Pretty healthy position group, especially with Brooks getting good reviews. Assuming Watson and Young don't do a covid super senior thing:

3rd year Bijan

4th year Roschon

4th year Keilan

2nd year Brooks

Early enrollee Miller

Early enrollee Blue

I will believe Blue ends up in the class the day he enrolls. What a wildass situation that is.

Assuming LTG is not a take - because they have others higher - does that mean they only take one more safety?  And I assume they would take both Jaylon G and Denver Harris - so that could be 3 spots (of the 7 Gerry says Texas has left).

Plus at least 1 more OL but probably two.

One more WR, but maybe 2.

Possibly a TE.

One more LB?

Posted (edited)

DB's

Committed(Texas):

BJ Allen - Safety

Austin Jordan - Corner/Safety

Ronald Lewis - Corner

Uncommitted:

Jaylon Guilbeau - Corner/Safety

Denver Harris - Cornerback

Committed(Others):

Bryce Anderson - Safety/Nickel, Aggie

LTG - Safety/ATH, Arizona State

Potential Offer:

Kendrick Law - Safety/ATH

That's pretty much our DB recruiting board currently it seems.

Jordan, Guilbeau, Anderson, LTG, and Law all have flexibility and can play multiple positions in the secondary.

I'm vexed. On one hand these 9.95 dudes have their sources. On the other hand, it sure the fuck isn't coming from the staff as evidenced by Justice giving the staff the commitment two weeks ago and the 9.95 crowd was still playing the guessing game up to a few hours before the hat game.

So that begs the question, how does Gerry know who the staff is still recruiting? I guess he's talking to the recruits?

Given his season ending injury I wouldn't be surprised if Trevell Johnson gets processed—if they can find a replacement in Barton or Perkins. Not clear if that already factors into the 7 spots Gerry says Texas has left, might mean an 8th.

Depends on if the kicker/long snapper factor in...

If they do that leaves potential 6-7 spots: 2/3 DB, 1LB, 1/2 OL, 2 WR

If they don't that leave potential 8-9 spots: 2/3 DB, 2LB, 2 OL, 2 WR

I'm leaning to the long snapper guy becoming a PWO with future scholarship and the kicker remaining a scholarship player.

Gerry talks to folks all over. But If Sark declared Omertà on his coaches and staff for certain things in leaking to media, it’s not hard to imagine it would be heeded. Even if Brandon Harris is gonna post doctor emojis. These are all five and take relationships. And Gerry is going to understand having a commitment and not ranting to give Saban renewed fury for two weeks to try and flip the kid.
